Peridot barely hides her sneering tone, but she had to be careful to not go too far with her quips--she'd just gotten into a fight with her not too long ago (and Amethyst even more recently), and she'd rather not have a do-over of that. Having to apologize was still... exhausting, for lack of a better way to put it. "Then again..."

She trails off, remembering Pearl's heritage, but doesn't continue down that line of thought. Again, careful. Careful.
