"Vaan...!" The Queen exclaimed as the young sky pirate moved in for an embrace. There was a time not that long ago when she would have shoved him away, playfully referred to etiquette or some such thing. That time had, however, passed. That wasn't to say the gesture came naturally to her. Her arms were slow to respond, and her touch was delicate, but it was a hug all the same.

As much as she had appreciated the gesture, though, it did seem somewhat out of character for Vaan. What happened, for him to reacted so? Penelo or the other orphans or even perhaps Basch would have warranted a hug from the young man, but her?

"Yes, a year since I appeared here in Crystallis. More, now." The Queen trailed off before tapping Vaan on the shoulder. "Is aught...wrong, Vaan?"
