Ales will be working in the laboratory on personal projects in the upcoming months, and he likes Sephiroth, so if he were to ask him about his plans, Ales would happily oblige. He would discuss the machines that he invented in his home and let slip that he built them to take over the world, and that can be one of the hooks for Sephiroth to talk about his (future) actions.

Barkeep will go to the Continent of Ruin in December, and Sephiroth can save him from one of the stronger monsters then. It would result in conflicted feelings - did Sephiroth do it only out of duty, or is he not as bad a person as he thought he was?
