1/ Welcome To The World Of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a legendary Hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. It's probably time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred very often this past year-- Maybe the characters who have been here for longer than you may help.

2/ Do You Like Your New Life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think it is possible to negotiate with the Calamity, you could even participate in the research on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest of them all in Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible!

3/ Neighborhood Woes...
The government of Aqures Ixen is sorry, but there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there are no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have be living with someone very cool and maybe an artist of great talent lives next door! It's just not likely.

4/ Crystallis De Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.

5/ A Thing Called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite it to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.

6/ A Thing Called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.

7/ I Believe I Can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can also borrow the Heroes of Light's official Airship, the Enterprise and some characters even have their own airship! You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.

8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore the ancient ruins that may hold some precious information in the continent of ruins. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere!

9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!

10/ Getting Jobs Is Hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe he simply asked you to assist him to clean the laboratory. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.

11/ The World Is Subject To Unrelenting Pain and Suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.

12/ Events Of The Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility or maybe you'd have liked to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have preferred to regain your true powers and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles or chase ghosts for a living. Or how about reliving some of your Worst Memories or fighting in A War for future of the world?

"For the last time, I'm not a 'hero'."

The words are directed to a stupid creature that he's learned years ago, in his own worlds and those that weren't, is called 'a moogle'. There was even one in The Castle in the World That Never Was - Isa was quite sure that the opportunistic little beings just went everywhere were they could squeeze even one piece of munny out of someone, whether that someone existed or not. (Not as if that was their problem.)

However, this moogle surprised him by... being a moogle equivalent of Lea.

Or to put it this way: while it hadn't shown any fire-related abilities, it had followed Isa everywhere, even to bathrooms. Therefore if it ever through fireball at his face, Isa wouldn't be surprised. Not much, at least.

"Listen up, you stray. If you accuse of being "a Hero" of Light one more time, I'll show you why I don't have enough of Light left inside me for any heroic antics. I'll take this off and show you how much Darkness I have. Mostly my own at that."

He's pointing to his blindfold while saying it.

Yesterday he finally asked on the Mognet how to successfully kill or ditch one's own Moogle, but nobody's given him a serious answer. Strange.

That's why right now he's standing just outside weapon shop arguing with this pomponned stray of his. To no effect, as the moogle just rolls his eyes at the (mostly) empty threat.

The threat levels are also probably lowered due to the fact that he's subconsciously leaning down to make sure the creature hears him well. He's still not able to make himself talk in anything above the whisper, even after three years of doing so.

Having just recently woken up from crystal stasis, he wasn't expecting to see anyone or anything that reminded him of home in the slightest. However, when he heard someone arguing what it "meant" to be a hero of light, he couldn't help but chuckle to himself. Ah yes, the same argument he had with 'Lin ages ago. He remembered it well.

Just as he recalled that coat, which didn't mean much as Time Mages wore it, but sometimes one couldn't help a kneejerk reaction. Especially when one remembers the kind of people who wore those things back at the castle. At least this time he had a small advantage.

"Pretty sure they can guess from the rest of your expression," the boy called out in dark amusement. "Turns out they just don't care with who we were before."

Yay, Repliku! Btw, this Isa is AU oops even in AU everybody will confuse him for Riku. For Reasons.

Just the fact that he can't see well because of his blindfold, doesn't mean that Isa can't recognise somebody's voice. That Keyblade master. The one chosen by human half of Xemnas before he was Xemnas. The one with whose Nobody, Xikur, Lea became so close. The one because of whom the memory witch had to disappear.

Isa hated Riku, but he tolerated his right to existence... or something... because well, he decided not to break Lea's heart again for the time being.

Somewhere in the far reaches of his forgotten memory, a small voice was saying that this could be... who? A strange name that he didn't truly know. An imaginary....

"Oh, naturally. That's why unlike me, they won't call you Xikur."

Yes, he knows how much Riku hates the name. Which is exactly why Isa will always call him that.

Of course, he doesn't know that this is another person entirely, who might think him crazy right about now.

Unlike the real thing, Ira has never met Isa or his Nobody. Thus he can't help but raise an eyebrow at the accusation. This wasn't the first time he'd been mistaken for someone else, but... Who the hell was this Xikur and what did he do to anger this guy in particular? Not that it's very surprising, jerk that they both are, but still.

At least the confusion should be obvious even with the stupid cloth over someone's eyes.

"I think you got the wrong guy," he stated flatly with a shrug. "With who I am though, it can't be helped."

After all, he was just a...

No, Ira. Somebody else.

Isa put his head to his forehead, which suddenly hurt. That wasn't strange, but what was stranger was the fact that he wasn't worried. Usually when his head hurt, it was sure sign that Superior, for the lack of better name without the damned letter, was trying to... but no, somehow, he knew that wasn't that.

"Ira. My apologies, I've mistaken you for somebody else. Though I am certain I can tell what you look like, so my condolences on that front."

While Isa sounds more polite now, he still can't help but throw that little jab. Well, it's not like keeping things in does any good, unless by things one means satanic old men. Let it all out, lest it consumes you again.

"Does your moogle mistake you for the guardian of Light as well?"

Guardian? Wasn't that 'hero'? Oh, well. Somehow 'guardian' sounded more fitting. Who knows why.

Sadly his isn't strange so much as it is nightmare fuel, but yes /o/

He rolled his eyes, letting annoyed tsk escape him as he shrugged off the comment about his looks. No one could help what looks they were given, and he honestly only cared still due to being constantly confused for another.

For a moment he considered asking if this guy was alright, but stopped himself due to remembering having similar sudden reactions a lifetime ago.

"Of course. All the moogles do." He stated the fact so nonchalantly, and yet the annoyance was almost palpable. "Their definition's aren't exactly the same as they were back in that castle."

"You know they're pretty useful when you need them to fetch things for you," said Erika, having come by after seeing the Mognet message come into her post box.

She was grinning as Kuplo Kopp was holding onto a huge basket of fabrics. "You should try to get along."

Don't mind the weird rabbit shaped bunny with a weird expression on her head.

Isa doesn't have to take his blindfold off to feel her grin (must be his partner's influence), so he doesn't do so.

"And your tolerance caused them to breed." Said in a deadpan tone, but with a slight smirk. The thing on her head smells different than a moogle, but that doesn't mean he has to acklowledge that. Apparently, the girl, whoever she was, liked to collect such creatures.

"Even so, trust this: if I wasn't getting along with it, it would already have a claymore in its chest."

The girl sounded and smelled young and... certainly on the side of Light, so would this be enough to make her go away? If not, then he supposed he could tolerate his presence without feeling like it's a torture session.

Sorry Isa, it's really REALLY hard to make Erika go away as she grinned. "Don't you worry about them! They're mighty useful and they change our jobs whenever we need them, so that's a nice fact of life."

"Not all the time," protested Kuplo Kopp.

"Mostly all the time," admitted Erika. "That being said, what's with the fashionable blindfold? Going for an Illidan look?"

(Un)fortunately, Ventus has become pretty used to hostility towards moogles, at least from confused newcomers. That's really the only time it's (partially) excused, so while he doesn't catch all of that threat as he walks out of the shop, he notices the tension all the same. As usual, he's more concerned and eager to intercede peacefully than he is about to get defensive.

His own moogle is hanging just behind his left shoulder as he approaches -- habit, since Ven keeps the handle of his Keyblade ready behind his right -- but she stays quiet as her Hero speaks up.

"Hi there! You're new, right?"

Best to start off friendly, as always. If there's anything familiar about the newcomer, Ven can't immediately place it.

Isa doesn't smile, but he takes hisblindfold off as if in a greeting.
His eyes are slightly yellowish turquise colour, with a shade of vibrant green for a split second sometimes.
"Don't introduce me to your thousand new friends.

Then he realises that Ventus seems not to recognise him, and he looks down in slight confusion.

He blinks in surprise at the mention of his name, his smile fading in exchange for puzzlement. "Uh..."

Removing the blindfold doesn't help much, because Ven's still racking his brain with little success. Something about him seems kind of familiar, but...

"Sorry, but--" And he does look apologetic at that; if he forgot an acquaintance, he'll feel awful about it. "Have we... met?"

Isa's only offended for a split second, before landing on an easy, convenient answer. Time travel.

And it this Ventus does look one or two years younger than he ought to, at that.

He puts his blindfold on again. If all goes to hell, this little brat probably wouldn't know what to do, not yet.

"Maybe not yet. So count this meeting as our first, it's better this way."

"I'm Isa."

It takes a second longer than it normally would -- but Lea did most of the talking that time, so Ven's memory has to work around him first, back to the other one--

--and then it clicks.

"Isa?" The puzzlement is now disbelief -- but it quickly breaks into another grin. "Isa! Wow! Yeah, I remember -- it's been a long time! I barely recognize you!"

Not for the first time, the consequences of time suddenly hit him. Aqua didn't age, she looked the same when she showed up here -- but Sora, that vision of Terra, and now Isa... how many friends left him behind for these thirteen years?

Regardless, Ven's glad for a familiar(-ish) face, even if his smile dims a little as he adds, "You... grew up, huh?"

Minato regards the unfamiliar, blindfolded Hero outside the store with raised brows; less on his appearance and more on that this was a familiar scene to him--it could even be said that it went as far as hitting a personal chord. It couldn't be said that after all these months, he himself was any more used to his own Moogle than the day that he had arrived here; (though he respected the furry creatures' work ethic in its own way, pushy as they can commonly be).

"I dunno, I'm pretty sure some Heroes here still like punching out whoever ticks them off. ... Or violence in itself." Summarily, he shrugs. "Darkness might not be an issue."

Whether this was proper reassurance or just sounded more outright concerning about the lack of Hero standards would be up to the stranger to decide. He didn't mean to reveal he had been eavesdropping, but sometimes you just get thoughts that you blurt out before thinking, and this is one such time.

For years he's been now using this mostly true factoid to scare off meddling strangers like this preachy boy here, it worked out quite well. Except for in cases where it didn't, which usually ended up tolerable.

Smirking, he continues. "If this little creature understood that some of the 'heroes' here - probably not you - have destroyed worlds, would they still be so infatuated with us?

He doesn't miss a beat in his replies, crossing his arms. He should really be more embarrassed about his bluntness and inability to read social cues, but he hasn't been extensively taught, in that department.

"It's probably less infatuation than 'desperation'."

Isa nods, 'looking' somewhere far off. "They must be very desparate."

"In my hometown, I've never seen a distressed moogle. Somehow it's a scary thought. I won't be surprised if this place ceases to exist very soon, if even moogles are on defensive."

Countless strikes seemed to be Crystallis tradition, as weird as it was to admit. Minato slowly approaches and whispers after, as if trying to be inoffensive in the presence of the fluffy being. "... Not always about big things though."

But as for the way Isa phrases death as ceasing to exist, Minato closes his eyes with a sigh.

"Exactly. Time's short. I don't agree with how this role's pushed onto randomized heroes either; but it's got its way of making this fight personal."

It's in the tone that goes 'trust me, you don't want to know' but if ever questions are asked, he's willing to answer.

It couldn't be possible.

And yet, Jaeha had heard it with his very own ears: Someone else in this town of lunatics was rejecting the ludicrous title of Hero of Light! Vehemently, at that. Of course, the bit about the darkness (with a capital D no less) did give him just a tiny, itty bitty smidgeon of concern. Did this guy truly not wish to be involved, or was he going to be trouble somewhere down the line?

Jaeha had no intentions of being manipulated as a Hero himself, but he also didn't want to see any harm come to the few people in this world he actually liked. It couldn't hurt to have a new buddy, and if it turned out this guy wasn't so bad, then at least he'd have someone tolerable to speak with that didn't try to coax him into accepting his situation and being a mindless heroic puppet.

"Whatcha got under the blindfold?" he asked with a lazy smile, approaching to lean one arm against a vendor's tentpole. "I'm sure it's not as bad as you think it is. This place takes away whatever powers you had in your previous world, you know?"

Isa wasn't interested in being roped into helping strangers, but he also had no wish to cause any strife as long as he didn't have to. He's had enough of fighting war, one he was manipulated into at that.

He's felt that this place tempers powers, but he's long learned that it never hurts to be careful - even a bit too careful perhaps. At least when it came to dealing with Darkness.

Especially when currently aggravated but some guy who apparently liked to stick his nose his nose in other people's business.

Isa doesn't bother to turn in his direction, still facing his Moogle instead. He speaks rather quietly, but decisively. "Nothing of interest to you."

"Oh~?" Jaeha chuckled, resting his fingertips against his chin as he curled one arm under his other elbow. "Are you sure about that? You don't even know my interests."

But Isa was probably right about that. Unless his eyes were extraordinarily beautiful, Jaeha could care less whether he walked around with a dirty rag on his face or not.

He might have tried harder to convince Isa if he were female, but for now, he was finding it fun just to needle him a bit and see what kind of person he was. Brooding and unpleasant so far, but layers upon layers and all that.

"If you're worried, maybe you could give it a shot outside of the city. But if this place was able to seal powers like mine, I hardly think you'd be an exception."

ooc: Seriously, I could swear I replied... maybe it didn't post. So now I'll write shorter coz time.

Still, he actually turns in Jaeha's direction.

Trying things out outside the city might actually be a good idea, and now he's irritated he didn't think of that on his own.

Isa's brow furrows at Jaeha's further comment. Well, if this stranger has some extraordinary powers, he's gonna keep that in mind, though he's not interested right now. (His partner would be, if only just to spare, but Isa's not Lea and rarely wastes time for idle sparring nowadays.)

His reply is only a whisper, and he doesn't care if the stranger hears anyway. "Being an exception has long ceased to appeal to me, so hopefully that's true."
