— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompts below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome To The World Of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a legendary Hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. It's probably time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred very often this past year-- Maybe the characters who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do You Like Your New Life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think it is possible to negotiate with the Calamity, you could even participate in the research on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest of them all in Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible!
3/ Neighborhood Woes...
The government of Aqures Ixen is sorry, but there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there are no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have be living with someone very cool and maybe an artist of great talent lives next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis De Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A Thing Called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite it to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A Thing Called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I Believe I Can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can also borrow the Heroes of Light's official Airship, the Enterprise and some characters even have their own airship! You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore the ancient ruins that may hold some precious information in the continent of ruins. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere!
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs Is Hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe he simply asked you to assist him to clean the laboratory. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The World Is Subject To Unrelenting Pain and Suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events Of The Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility or maybe you'd have liked to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have preferred to regain your true powers and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles or chase ghosts for a living. Or how about reliving some of your Worst Memories or fighting in A War for future of the world?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

Zaveid | Tales of Zestiria
Huh, flying ain't a half bad thing. Makes it easy to get around, that's for sure, but the wind seraph kind of enjoys this. Maybe just 'cause it's his element, or maybe because it's easy and lazy. Not that he's lazy by any means, but he's tired, he's old, and sometimes taking the easy route is the nicest. Then again, also having a vessel is nice, too. Just camp inside them, and boom just stay there for the ride. Hah, that's an innuendo he'll need to remember if he sees Rose again. Just 'cause.
9
Well, it sucks he doesn't have his powers (and sucks that he can't snoop in the girl's sauna with said powers), but at least he has his pendulums. Time to see if these babies work decently here, too. Along with a new job. Given he's only really used spells with limited physical attacks, a mage seemed to fit him best, but goddamn that nothing with wind. Kind of pisses him off, but hey, maybe it'll be fun to try something new.
And to the person who's fighting with him?
"Hey, you ready? I'll take on that sexy lookin' thing, alright? She's just my type."
As much as he is seemingly going to flirt with their female shaped monster, he'll take it down no problem. An enemy is an enemy.
9 ha!
Unfortunately, she's working as a ninja right now, and the mask covering her face means that Zaveid won't be able to see her look of disgust. He should be able to hear it in her tone, though. Should.
"Whatever you say, hotshot. This one's yours."
Either Zaveid kills the monster, or is killed by the monster. Either way, Rose wins.
/shakes head
"Oh, Rosie, so glad you have such confidence in me!"
If anything, her reaction gives him more energy as he charges toward his vixen-like foe. Of course, doing nothing short of proclaiming sweet nothings to her... while taking her down. Even a 'don't be jealous of the other lady, now' can be heard. Just to rile her up. Yep.
Re: /shakes head
"Good grief."
Whatever Rose was thinking before, Zaveid's behavior was making it worse ten fold. Before, she was planning on helping him. Now, she's gonna wait until he's finished. She would swoop in and help if he needed it (probably) but since he looks fine on his own, she's not gonna bother.
Until the monster's almost dead, of course. Then she'll swoop in and deliver the killing blow. She definitely wanted in on some of that experience, after all.
"This is all we need for the mission, right?"
no subject
It's still closed, in a sense, but he's letting certain people pry it open little by little.
"Yep, should be all we need. You good with that?"
So, yes, laying off on the creep factor for now, genuinely asking if they were good.
9 : /pls forgive my noobness
"Can you not think of anything else but girls?" Mikleo was fighting the urge to not slap a hand to his face for the comment. Scratch that, he doesn't want an answer.
At least, the advantage they have are that are allies and they know how to somehow work together in most given situations. Being a spell caster type himself, he's going to switch his black mage job out for his archer job. Hopefully, that can provide some sufficient battleground for the both of them.
"Anyway, let's just get this over with. Don't be careless."
s'all good!
Still, Mikboy's an ally, and he tries to protect them. Okay, it's actually a serious effort even if his care-free personality may make people think otherwise.
Pendulums at the ready, he's in position for an attack. Using new spells is just a little different, but in the end spells are spells. Just when you've been a wind seraph for, say, thousands of years, it's a little awkward. "You know me, Mickey-boy, I'm the last one to be careless!"
Said as he rushes in for the attack without a beat. Some things will never change.
/o/
The important matter was clearing up these enemies and getting the mission over with. Maybe then he'll get a breather from all of this.
"Don't go saying that if you're going to just dive in Zaveid!"
Mikleo supports his rear by firing a handful of arrows to distract some of the beasts from cycling themselves towards Zaveid. Somethings definitely never change. Admittedly, he's not as upset as he sounds.
no subject
How he can speak during fights is beyond many a people's comprehension, but it's just who he is. Pendulums swing out at the enemies in front of him, completely trusting Mikleo to get the ones that are behind him. Even if he's care-free while speaking, the last thing he's care-free about is battle. Lives are on the line and he takes it very seriously.
Of course trying some new magic sounds all fun, too. Maybe this time he'll see how things heat up. It's different, feeling the warmth of fire when he casts a spell toward his enemies, but it's not all that bad. Just takes some gettin' used to!
no subject
He doesn't have any other comments to what Zaveid said since he already knows the answer will be the same. As much as Mikleo would like to give him come backs, he's not going to, in lieu of keeping the both of them safe. He'll keep diverting the enemies with his arrows, and moving around so that they'll be tied up with him, while Zaveid takes them out one by one. He trusts Zaveid as well. Their adventures have more or less implied how loyal he could be.
He's really fascinated by the differences in what they can do in this world. They didn't have their Seraphic Artes, or anything similar to their elements, but it's an experience that definitely left him wanting more. He was always one to seek knowledge after all.
"Step to the side, Zaveid!"
He's moving in for a closer shot, letting his bow charge up, so that he could release a strong attack, enough to help clear some of the enemies and make Zaveid's movements easier.
#7 (Just started the game myself, haven't met him yet!)
Once she'd stashed her belongings below deck in the shared cabin she'd opted to reserve, not particularly caring who her bunkmate would be, she came topside to enjoy the fresh air. Maybe they'd let her climb up to the crow's nest this time...
As she emerged, she caught sight of a man with long white hair, and she knew only one person who matched that description.
"Colonel Sephiroth," she smiled, folding her arms as she approached from behind. "Has something happened to your shirt, or did you lose a bet?" Rukia smirked. A little friendly ribbing with her superior officer was fine, as long as there weren't any other troops around to mistake the camaraderie for disrespect.
...Actually, his arms were a little more tanned than she remembered the warrior being...
i'll keep this as spoiler free as possible!
He's not sure who this 'Colonel Sephiroth' is, but it certainly ain't him. Though perhaps he has a doppelganger going about if someone really is confusing him for another guy.
"That's not me. But if that's who you want me to be, I'll be him, Sweetie."
Of course, his natural response is to turn this into an uncomfortable flirting session.
Sweet, thank you! Just finished the first sewer level.
Ah ha ha ha, 'young' lady. She was just starting to realize her error. When he turned to look at her, Rukia's suspicion was confirmed.
Oops.
What were the odds of two men with long white hair showing up in this world? It wasn't exactly a common style, as far as she knew. Rukia blinked, surprised, then embarrassed. ...Then confused. 'Sweetie?'
"Er... No, that's fine," she blinked again. As if the world needed more than one Sephiroth. "My apologies. You appeared somewhat similar from behind. You're new, correct? Rukia Kuchiki," she stuck out her hand.
no subject
His banter was playful as he met the other's hand with his and gave it a pretty firm shake. It wasn't going to be beyond him to touch another lady whenever he was given the chance, but he also doesn't know her yet. So best to keep that side of him tamed. That's reserved for ladies who get to know him... very well.
"The name's Zaveid. I'm just up here catchin' a ride, nothin' more. At least it's faster than just walking."
no subject
"A pleasure," she said, releasing his hand. And now they had something in common, for she too loved riding the airships. "This is true. Once you've caught a chocobo, there are few places you will not be able to access." Now she was regretting that she hadn't brought Yuki along, but as the trip she'd wanted to make was a short one to the city itself, there was no need to involve the prissy white bird.
She still wanted to climb to the crow's nest, but now she figured she had to behave herself. It would be bad form to exhibit any childishness around a new acquaintance, after all.
"Have you visited Trano Golsaucia before? It's quite lively," she smiled, folding her arms as she relaxed her stance.
7
Staying more towards the middle of the craft, she tapped her closed umbrella on her shoulder, deciding it was best to keep it closed with a breeze this strong -- not that she wasn't confident in her landing skills. This was just... a little higher up than she was used to.
Maybe a lot higher up.
"If I didn't know any better I'd actually think you were enjoying yourself," with only a brief pause before she added, "Which probably means there's something twisted going on in your head." Poke poke goes the parasol into your back, Zaveid.
no subject
"Ouch-- Dammit, that hurts!"
He can't even feign the pain, because the poke of that parasol is deadly as he rubs his back from where the tip of her weapon hit him. Ain't she a little weapon of mass destruction with that thing. "If you wanted to know what I was thinking, all ya had to do was ask."
He knows he doesn't want to know, but it just adds to their little comedy routine.
no subject
Although she still wasn't sure about this whole 'getting close to the edge of the airship thing' her body language did nothing to betray what was below the surface. Or maybe having Zaveid there just made her feel a little more brave. Hah! Yeah, right. Either way, she inched her way closer to the side of the vehicle, not yet daring to peer over.
"Where is this thing supposed to be headed, anyway?"
9
He's even stopped wearing his blindfold, as it's currently probably unnecessary. So yes, he can see that the monster is female... most likely. But really? Flirting with it?
"All yours."
He'll just concentrate on hitting the other monster with his claymore to escape hearing such inane comments.
