As Jack approaches K'pandolu, he pushes a few buttons on his vortex manipulator. A slow big band piece starts to play, something from out of the 1940's on Earth. He playfully reaches out a hand.

"Might I have this dance?"

She perks up, immediately interested in the music, and grins when he asks the question.

"But of course! I'm honoured that you'd ask me." She reaches out to take his hand.

...Can you meow? Meow at someone until they meow back.

[uh.]

I can, but I don't believe it sounds that different from a hyur making the same sound. […well no it does sound close but she doesn't want to say that.] Do you mean only meows?

Yeah, just meows. People have a habit of mimicking cats when they keep meowing, so it shouldn't take that long.

Do they really? I never realised. [that's good news, at least?]

All right. [and off she goes.]

[Reno never said he couldn't ask.]

Mind if I, uh...bark at you?

[a very dubious look at that. though she does appreciate being asked!]

So long as it's barking and no more.

Thanks. And sorry, I guess.

[He pauses for a moment, and, cheeks red, starts to bark. It's three short sounds. Considering he's a "horrible monster," they'll sound pretty realistic, too.

And then his shoulders slump.]

This makes me feel ridiculous.

[despite the forewarning, she fluffs up a bit, ears flattening and tail rising. She manages to hold back on anything else, at least?

She reaches out- pauses for a moment, considering- and makes the touch to his shoulder very quick.]

I suppose that is the point of the game… But it's done with now. Why barking?

[See? He feels bad. But he's sure that redhead would complain if he just said 'arf' or something and tried to get away with it.]

You should ask the ass with the red hair. I made him eat dog food for this, so it all worked out in the end.

Red hair…? Oh. Reno? I suppose so. [now she's less enthused, though. ah well. and a nod!] He's a big boy, I'm sure he's fine.

[she hmms, rocking on her feet a little.]

I'm sure it won't worry anyone in a little while. Or- if you told them something nice, that might work, too. If you're very concerned about it.

He had it coming.

[He's going to assume she looks less enthused because Reno is a pain. Because he thinks Reno is a pain.

And he probably shouldn't tell her that he picked Ales just because he still likes feeling like a predator sometimes. It's hard to get that song to stop singing in his nerves completely.]

Maybe I'll try that.

[He could always use practice with complimenting.]

She could maybe understand that, a little. Aside from directing it at a person.]
