That was definitely all the reassurances Zell needed. He may not have understood how it could happen like this, if it was some timeline thing or that other dimensions thing. He wasn't a sciencey type. He didn't know.

But after all the messed up feelings he had after waking from that dream where he experienced the unspoken and hardened loneliness and then death of his best friend, after seeing him afterwards with absolutely no memory of anything and a local, Zell was elated that the real and normal Squall he knew was here. Feeling nothing but the absolute joy for a moment, he quickly moved forward to hug Squall tightly before he knew what he was doing.

He pulled away before Squall could react, but a bright smile lit his face. "Yeah, I got it!"
