I know we mentioned it briefly before but I'm happy to involve Sephiroth in getting Ales to accept his Calamity Self, somehow...

I mean, he might be worth asking to just stand on the inside of the door being the guard-type that he is?

Standing there will ultimately help, though Ales will find anyone's presence to be unwelcome and making things worse at first.
