For in the near future, Naminé is very much in the same boat re: wanting to get up to speed, so maybe the two of them could go monster hunting together?

YES! Absolutely! I'd love for the two of them to get to be better friends. Should I have her run into Naminé in the intro log and assume it took place before the shadow confrontation? She deserves someone better to interact with than Lust anyway.
