So, would a Magitek Armor cheer her up at all? Jade needs all lab employees focused and motivated.

She'd be hugely flattered and shocked at that kind of generosity! She's very uneasy about equipping either Engineer or Magitek Knight for a while (which I'd like her to eventually overcome), but some Team Dad antics would likely go a very long way with her. Jade is the best boss.
