Character: [OU] Sephiroth
Canon: Final Fantasy VII
Info: The Legendary silver-haired hero! At least when it comes to how he was often percieved back home. His canon point has him as just before (most of the) reveals that changed the world, but in terms of Crystallis since he's been spoiled over his own future thanks to Palitutu's file. He's the epitome of a solider, always 'on' and professional to a fault. Always on the push for improving himself in terms of both fitness and combat skills and still somehow manages to keep on top of his personal upkeep.

Job(s): Has S-Type SOLDIER [Custom Job/MAX] & Warrior [MAX] equipped; as usual. For others, please check my info post. Onion Knight is MAX now too with 4 months of Exp left on an orb that's just going to expire.
Housing: B-14; recently moved in with Jade following a talk about things during the Crystal Caves expedition. Now Anise is there, too.
Other Housing: As Colonel for a long time in the Military at Esdham, Sephiroth has his own quarters/office at the barracks in Esdham.
Moogle: Spencer. Nerd-moogle Mark-1 lol! He's bookwormy and very big on facts, cares a great deal about Sephiroth's well being but savvy enough not to overdo it in front of him. Is also helping to keep Jardin Verdoyant open since Terra's slip into stasis, alongside his various cousins/other Heroes.
Status: Sephiroth has been steadily getting back on a hopefully more-stable footing since the last time his deteriorating sanity peeked out again in the wake of losing Terra. As usual though, he's been working a lot (I'm just coming back off hiatus this week!) at Esdham since now there is even more to do considering there are now frontiers that need to be secured. Add that to providing security in over-populated/not-corrupted cities, at the Mysidian Tower, keeping Mograma's parole and all the rest of it - something is always on! He's still nursing his shoulder a little, but it's just a matter of building the muscle mass back that he lost now. He's actually listened to good advise for a change and took the decision to move out of the toxic environment which B-09 had become for him; progress? Maybe when he's actually in Aqures Ixen for a decent amount of time so as to be living there. He's started to address some of his issues, starting with talking to Cloud/Levy about that particular cavern in the Crystal Caves plot, but this'll be a slow-burn. So complicated.
Employment: Colonel within the Esdham Military forces

Plans: I've no intention of getting involved in either Heroes Temple or Lunar Gate plots this month as I'm hoping to focus on character development/CR instead. Sephiroth's Calamity Self...is going to be a tough cookie to figure out exactly how/what to do as well; several aspects of this Shadow of his have already leaked out in one way or another during the course of the game so far and he's trying to put those things away not confront them! I put a post on the OOC post for it if you want to plot/contribute/help out any. A few things for certain that I did manage to brain so far: 1) It won't be this month; it might not even be next. 2) It's going to require heavy-handed pushing to get him to see that it needs to be done/that it's beneficial; not only does Sephiroth have extreme-distrust of the Sage, he's petrified what over confronting his Shadow will mean. On the other hand, given Sephiroth's background as a soldier/security, having him supervise others' confrontations isn't too out-there and might help to soften the dread he has over his own eventually. Unrelated EDIT: Sephiroth's birthday is 16th November. Not that it's that common-knowledge (excepting moogles & those who saw his unlocked file before) but if anyone wants to plot anything for that, let me know!
Desired CR: I really need to develop some new CR for Sephiroth somewhere, but looking more into deepening the CR that he does have currently. He's going to need to start to edge into 'friendship' but he's still a smidge too closed-off in that hermit-cave where his damaged confidence hangs out; I'm open to anyone who would help starting to repair that.
Undesired Things: Want to avoid anything that's going to swing him yet-again back into the abyss of self-hating at this point; however I wouldn't say no if your character thought some strong words need to be said!
Shipping: Not actively looking for a ship, it's still much too soon after Terra for this to be realistic right now and don't we have bigger problems? Light-hearted flirting of the M/F variety wouldn't go amiss though.
Additional Comment: I'm in GMT (London) and work full-time so my tagging can only be done at evenings & weekends. I've also just started to recover from a burnout so tags are slow currently, hoping to get back to about 5-6 a night soon though. As ever, if there is anything you need to touch base with me/handwave/prioritize just hit me up on Plurk/Discord.

I'd like to try again with Ira too, the problem is getting something to stick? He's not really anything going other than 'I knew a different version of you' which isn't exactly something Sephiroth would want to discuss.

Lydia is always going to be his friend, and will happily do stuff with him Even if it's just keep him company while she draws.

Vincent also is gonna keep watching over him too... And I should figure out a birthday gift for not!son.

I'm not sure if I remember right from before but didn't we have a plan at some point to get him into drawing? Or at least try to introduce hobbies which aren't hack-slashy-associated?

In terms of Vincent, though Sephiroth knows that not!dad is going to be lingering there, I can see him at least semi-unconsciously trying to avoid that? If he gets his confidence back it's not like he wants forever to have him as that 'crutch' if that makes sense?

Lydia can do that easily. Also sewing, if he wants. Or sculpting, or who knows what.

Definitely something I can see Seph doing, and Vincent does know how to back off somewhat. But he does genuinely care for Seph (even ihe's repressing things related to that) and is his friend.

Eventually I want him to be able to see that, and get into a place where he can accept it.

Something I'd love to do if you're up for it is getting Akane over her disgust of the Magitek Knight and Engineer jobs (because of the whole being possessed thing) with some proper training. She was working with Squall for a little bit on how to use self-defense, but she's still clueless about using a sword in battle. The events of Downapolis and the Moogle Mog stuff left her pretty shaken up, so it's a good chance to get some super solid positive CR if he can help her get out of her rut. Having him forgive her for stabbing him will definitely help a ton! And she can sort of flirt with really horrible innuendos???? But friendship in general would be awesome.

I'm nervous in putting Sephiroth into too much of a mentor/teacher role as he's generally too blunt with newbies when it comes to learning sword-fighting. Bad habits are picked up when one tries to be in a rush to learn technique, don't you know!

Getting them to talk experiences would be a first step, though.

I am fine with bluntness, and so is she. She does tend to flinch and retreat when directly attacked, so that's something she ICly wants to overcome. He can be as harsh as he wants, and she would appreciate it.

How should they meet? Do you have an open log, or should I make one?

They could meet at the Training Hall? I imagine that on the days that Sephiroth is in Aqures he takes his fitness routines inside as it gets colder.

I don't have a log going, nor one planned for this month so it's up to you if you want to try and get it rolling this month; I really do love how you always continue to backtag with me even if stuff gets older...
