[There's something warm and familiar that fills Mary's heart in Edward's reaction. His shock is exactly as she expected, but so to is the quickness with which he gets a hold of himself and demands answers rather than blathering questions. She glances back at her crew and passengers and gives them a sign all is well before leaning out a bit with the help of the rigging. Just sky and sea below her as the ship dips a little lower for Kenway's sake.
But they don't come in for a landing just yet. A part of Mary wonders, fears, that if they were to touch down she wouldn't have it in her to take off once more. Or at least not with her crew.]
'The dead shouldn't return to the land of the living. That's just how it is...'
[But that's murmured to herself. Easily enough drowned out by the sounds of her ship. Her mask of worry only lasts a moment before she calls out again.]
This here's the Spizaetus. A ship that's served me well time and again, in spite of the punishment I've put it through. I suppose we've a larger one too but I left that one behind.
Seems when the sickness took me I went far further than either of us expected. A whole 'nother world in fact. Thought I'd let my new friends see where I came from while we have the chance.

[And to meet an old friend of hers, of course.]
