The arch of his back pulled the little smile out of her despite herself. She honestly did like helping other people feel better. That he'd been an enemy not that long ago in her memory didn't seem to change that or maybe she just couldn't seem to think of him as an enemy, no matter what her head and circumstances told her. All she had to go on were her memories of her time fighting for Cosmos, they were all she remembered, right up until the end and the Rift but... she knew there was more than that. That, somewhere, she had memories of another life, another time and place, sealed up somewhere inside her. Sometimes, she wondered if those hidden memories were the reason for more of what she did than she realized. And something about the man in front of her said she'd never be able to look at him and see someone she should fight.

The second his head turned though her hands drew back, almost as if she'd been caught doing something she shouldn't and she probably had been. He didn't move, not really, but she still took a couple steps back, out of arm's range. It didn't stop her from tucking her hands behind her back and offering a tentative smile all the same. They didn't have to fight, not here. Maybe... maybe they could try something else. She'd hoped she'd have something to say by the time he caught her but all she could think of to offer with her questioning hopeful smile was:
