Hazel really doesn't like feeling like she's standing out like a sore thumb, but the clothes of her "Job" are ridiculous for this kind of weather. As such, her purple SPQR t-shirt, jeans, and riding boots are back on thanks to her Moogle. Something familiar is also a big plus right now. She's not used to being...well...normal. She feels cut off from the earth at her feet, and it's not exactly a feeling she likes. It's disorientating, and as if a big part of her suddenly isn't there right now.
To distract herself from that feeling, the daughter of Pluto goes to see if any of her friends from home are around. That's about when she sees a kid, maybe a few years older than she is, sitting on a bench without shade. Something about his expression, and certainly the way he dresses in all black, reminds Hazel of her brother somewhat. That and he also looks uncomfortable sitting there, baking in the sun. She decides to help him out, with the hopes that he's an actual person and not this world's version of a Greek/Roman monster in disguise. Although, she supposes he isn't a monster if he's got a Moogle with him. Monsters would just eat them, right...?
"Hey, kid," she drawls out in her Louisiana accent, making a couple careful steps toward the boy and trying to be non-threatening, "You doin' alright over there?"
quietly shrieking
