Having the world close in all around you after fighting so hard to protect your home, leaves Selphie full of dread and a fear of the unknown. It's hard for her to determine left from right in this void she's in much less comprehend the gnawing feeling in the pit of her stomach. If their world had collapsed, then they'd all failed.
They'd be stuck wandering in the void of Time Compression for the rest of their days before the sounds of a voice came to Selphie's ears and a bright light just out of reach. It kept calling her closer and even though the perky brunette wanted to find her friends, her family first and foremost, she was oddly compelled toward the golden light and the gentle lull of a voice calling her name. Eventually, Selphie's hand closed around the light and it dawned on her that she was holding something that felt so surreal and important that she pressed the object close to her chest.
She woke with a start and stared into the eyes of a creature of myth. The two stared at each other, blinking the confusion out of their eyes before Selphie's head tilted to the right. She reached out a finger and tentatively poked the creature as she smiled shyly at it.
"Moogle...?"
"Kupopo!" It exclaimed excitedly. "It's about time you woke up, kupo!"
Selphie sat there quietly, absorbing the information that the little moogle provided before she decided to move out and survey this new world.

Learning how they communicated in this world had baffled Selphie at first. She was far more accustomed to message boards and emails than carefully recited messages from her Moogle Friend or having to write responses out by hand. Perhaps someone will stumble across her as she tries to collect her thoughts in the hopes of finding a familiar face?
Then again... She's always open to other interpretations and she might just send out idle doodles to random people on a whim.
