Already this woman was much more promising than the last one he spoke to. Her spiel could be heard even from the distance he was at. (even without his enhanced senses.) Clearly this woman also use to be a vampire, or something like one. It seems he wasn't the only one experiencing a difficult change. Though Zelman didn't have the standard weakness to the sun like some of the vampires. It weakened him at best.

"Did you just get here?" Simple question, easy answer? It's not as if he expected much intel from anyone other than the ones directly involved. The vampire would just have to weedle out the ones who didn't know anything, or stage a situation in which forces the party in question to divulge information. It would take some scheming, and he would have to learn this setting.
