Owain visibly winced at that hit and the shout out. He tried to rub the back of his head and pretend like it was nothing as he glanced back.

"A hero's work is never done, nor will this curse placed upon me allow me a moment's breath."

With no irony, he took a deep breath and continued.

"For it is a tragic tale that leads me here and it will be a far more tragic one by the end of this ill fated journey. I am only saddened by the fact that others much share this fate with me."

Owain's hand went in front of his face as posed again, trying to look as dramatic as he sounded.
