He pads himself down once more, snapping his fingers at the realization that his new linens are without the added bonus of a few cigars.
"No. I mean, no thank you, Mam. Those last few should do me just fine. Any more and I might be letting you get away with more than just my money." His eyes catch the stack of coins that had amassed across the table from him, only now realizing the small mint she'd managed to collect. "You know, that's somethin'. I bet if I was anywhere near as good at this card thing as you, I could buy myself a ticket home. But you? You'll probably spend it on something like, oh, a nice house or something practical I imagine. My wife is always telling me I should safe what I earn, but me? I'd rather enjoy it."
He stands from the seat, letting out a long sigh of relief now that he no longer needs to subject himself to what many would consider a one-sided fight.
"But, I suppose it'd be a pretty darn stupid thing to bet against a woman like you."
