Ramza turned his face away from Ashelia when she mentioned home. His hand reached, unbidden, to the crystal he'd tucked away inside his armor. It had emerged from inside of him as he had been brought here. Ramza had encountered only two types of crystals in his life: the 'Holy Stones' of legend, and the crystals that manifested out of a person's soul when they died. He was certain what he held was not a Holy Stone...
"You believe we will be able to return home?" he asked quietly.
When he turned back to face Ashelia, he had forced a smile on his face. No need to burden her with his overly grim suspicions on the nature of the Heroes' crystals. He could feel her determination and protectiveness for her charges, and it helped cheer him. "We are fortunate to have a leader such as you, Lady Ashelia. If there is aught I can do to aid you, you need only ask."
