Canon: Tales of Graces
Info: 19-year-old knight school dropout turned feudal lord. Prone to coordinating win quotes and dishing out friendship speeches. Obsesses over protecting others. Likes: flower meadows, traveling, swords, ice pops, curry (mild only!!), cleaning, card games. Has an aversion to: paperwork, naggy mothers telling him to get married and do the thing.
Job(s): Warrior, Dragoon
Housing: B-08
Moogle: Tern (m), he's easily terrified but tries his best!
Status: He's been better, but all-in-all he's all right. Pretty confused, but willing to listen. And he's trying to cope with overprotective worried guardian withdrawal vibes since he's suddenly in this weird place with all these interesting characters but not his pig-tailed flower girl. Also prison food is terrible. HE MISSES HIS CURRY. (Or any food that doesn't just taste gross...) So if you can cook the weeks to follow are your opportunity to earn like a hundred friendship points.

Employment: Nothing yet, but I had a few possibilities in mind including clean-up, joining the military, or working at the weapons shop. Something along those lines.
Plans: He's still pretty much in the figuring things out stage, so my next plans (after the newbies escape) would be just getting him ICly up to speed, meeting more people, and adjusting to life in Aqures Ixen. He'll also definitely want to try to hunt down some gear and test out his jobs. So sparring and/or some kind of fetch quest or adventuring-type of deal might be good.
Desired CR: Let's make ALL the friendships! Here are a few: well-adjusted adult military types who'd whip this guy back into shape, fellow fighter types, people with opposing values to his own, people he can big brother, people who will big brother him, etc.
Undesired Things: Uh...? Nothing I can think of.
Shipping: I'd be willing to do a shippy thing. However you need to know that this would require some dedication as Asbel is very, very slow on the romantic uptake.
Additional Comment: I try to do tags within 24 hours where I can, but I've been sick for the past week and a half and work will be crazy this coming week, so my speed may not be picking up until around the 21st of March. If there's a thread you need to get through faster, however, just let me know and I'll prioritize it.

Asbel seems like a lot of fun :3 I'm cool with slow tags though my tag speed is pretty quick.

Yuffie is going MIA except for those who seek her out.

Terra is adorable and innocent in many ways because she has lost a good portion of her memory. She knows that she was a soldier but not to much else. I think it'd be fun for them to meet.

Zelda will want to mother him because its a thing that she does. Often.

@Yuffie: Aw. Asbel hopes she can find some decent food in the meantime at least.

@Terra: This does sound like a lot of fun! And it's kind of similar to what happens in his canon, too. (ie. meeting an innocent, adorable girl with amnesia who's a...er, fighter!) He'd definitely be sympathetic and try to help her out and stuff.

@Zelda: He needs all the mothering, really. Just don't spoil him. Also I think he'd probably be really interested to learn about different worlds.

That sounds perfect for Terra then! I can throw her at him if he posts at the heroes mingle, same with Zelda. Who will be there and helpful and stuff. She won't spoil him persay but she will support him and then tell him when he's being silly.

I can offer Sephiroth, for Asbel to join the slowly-growing club of people that look up to him?

He is somewhat well-adjusted, adult military type even if he's pretty ruthless when it comes to teaching anyone? Plus he won't be going back to work in Esdham until he's stronger on his feet again after his broken leg.

This sounds interesting! I could see Asbel admiring (or at least respecting) his professionalism as a fighter and such. I'm not sure if he'd survive ruthless teachings, though. |D (Since his former instructor barking specific commands at him makes him trip over his own feet.)

Not quite that ruthless, with the barking like a commander in a boot camp or anything! He just doesn't really do very well with compassion. He'd bluntly explain what Asbel's failings were and matter-of-factly explain how to correct them.
