Canon: Ultimate Survivor Kaiji
Info: Kaiji is a self-pitying, self-esteemless slacker with a new gambling addiction. The money and adrenalin-chasing he did caused his ass to get tossed in what was basically a yakuza owned hard labor camp. C'est la vie.

While prone to crying and being generally worthless, under pressure Kaiji is damn near unstoppable. This doesn't mean he always wins (clearly), but he will fight tooth and nail for what he thinks is right. He can be very inspiring and courageous, with a cunning wit for developing plans and strategies. Actually getting this side to shine, though...

Job(s): Thief/Illusionist
Housing: A-08 with Ramza.
Moogle: Kuponika, a cheerful dreamer who came with Kaiji from the Research Center.

Status: Kaiji is going to be so culture shocked. He comes from a completely mundane world full of the worst human scum you can imagine. This place is such a departure from home that it's going to take him a few weeks to adjust.
Employment: None yet. If he gets a job it'll be a miracle.
Plans: For now I'd like him to get acquainted with his new home, and to make some friends. And most importantly, get some sunshine, fresh air and a lot of sleep and food. He hasn't had a lot of those these last few months.
Desired CR: Any! He's new! People who can keep him motivated are especially important.

Shipping: Sure, if it somehow happens with this idiot.

Olivier likes him so far. She's noticed that he doesn't stop even with odds stacked against him, and will be sure to want him in her corner when it comes to solving problems. She might push him a bit though.

Honestly, that is exactly the sort of influence he needs in his life. Kaiji is an incredible dude, but he's got too much of a "woe is me" attitude and his self-esteem and bitterness tend to get in the way of him doing anything. So please, push him. But sometimes he might just push back. XD
