Re: Random Encounter

Luckily for Vincent, Sephiroth had much of a similar attitude where it came to otherwise awkward social situations. He was very much a man who wouldn't stick around anywhere for idle chatter and quite often made a point to come up with a reason to step away where possible. If he hadn't felt obligated to share information with an apparent newcomer to Crystallis, he'd likely have already walked off.

Still, Vincent's explanation made sense and he nodded politely. A slight weight of tension lifted; he had no other reason to think that this man wasn't from a different World to him. That concern dispelled, Sephiroth met Vincent's eye contact directly- only to then have his slitted pupils contract as that initial concern was verified in the next comment. He was the one to blink and to look away, out over in the direction where the goblins had retreated to.

Despite how his sharp logical mind quickly connected the dots into what Vincent could have meant by that comment; in that indeed he did know the man from his future that dared to still carry his name, Sephiroth forced the knot of dread within him to calm down and slowly tilted his silvered head back to meet with the eye contact once more.

"Can't say that I've heard of you." The past affairs of the Turks were hardly SOLDIER jurisdiction. Even if he had been nosy when picking around in Shinra's archives, if Vincent's name were mentioned anywhere it just wasn't relevant to him. "I guess that makes sense, at least."
