[The Adventurer stared at the Chocobo. The Chocobo stared right back, tilting its head. The Moogle assigned to the Adventurer sweated nervously at this epic stare-off, the two seemingly communicating with each other. It had seemed like a simple enough task; go to the stables, get a bird. But they hadn't had a bird with the recent incident. So he and the Moogle went out and caught one, which was a simple task.
However, the pair were staring at each other. And finally, the Adventurer spoke.]
Well?
KWEH!
[He sighed deeply.] I've slain dragons, primals, and ascians. And yet I cannot seem to urge you into the air. [He folded his arms.] What am I doing wrong here?
10.
[The Adventurer folded his arms with a tilted look at the job person in question. He arched a eyebrow, being a man of little words. And then spoke.] What do you mean, I have to "drop" a job? I don't comprehend that.
[In Eorzea, they didn't drop jobs, merely changed armor. You could never LOSE the skills you trained your body into.]
9.
[Random encounter! Not hard, considering that he was out in the field. The Adventurer dismounted and eyed the three wolf-like creatures in front of himself. Unsheathing Bravua, he charged in.
The first attack felled the monster quickly, and he realized quickly that these were hungry monsters when one snapped at the corpse. Grabbing Bravura in both hands, the Adventurer roared loudly, trying to awaken the Inner Beast by 'popping' Infuriate... but nothing happened.]
What?! What the...?
[And then they were upon him, snarling as he held them off with the hilt of Bravura.] These... my strength, it's not as it used to be, I cannot awaken the Beast!
[For the first time in a long time, he fought, struggling against the three lone wolves... and more were emerging from the bushes realizing a prey had basically forgotten how to fight.]
