Shiva... nay, Ysayle, was a gentle soul who in her quest to stop the bloodshed was forced to do unspeakable horrors. She lead the Heretics of Ishgard against us, she summoned Saint Shiva and faced me and my comrades in battle. And yet, when it came down to it, we could not hate her.

Ysayle was mortal, like any other being, and she was a kind woman. Certainly Estinien and her did not get along, but there was a comfort to her, like someone who understood the hatred. She lost her family, and was raised by dragons. She spoke to them, trusted them, and when the Dragons proved that they could not be trusted at times, she still hoped for the best.

After slaying the beast Nidhogg, we had hoped to end the war. However, the Empire tried to gain access to the power that was Azys Lia, and plunder its secrets. To try and stop them, my friend rode into battle on the back of her oldest friend, transformed into Shiva, and there, she gave her life trying to slow the Empire down.

She possessed a Crystal of Light. She was just like me. Alone in this world, but unlike me, I had friends. I feel like, we understood one another when she met her end to the cannons of the flagship of the Empire.
