Billy ushered the girl into the kitchen, giving Terra a grateful nod over her head as he saw the kettle she'd heated. He let her choose her seat and helped mix the tea leaves into the water.
"Drink up," he urged the still-sniffling girl once the leaves had steeped. "When you're done, we can talk about your dream, or we can read a bedtime story and go back to sleep."
The girl slurped some tea, looking none-too-pleased with either prospect.
"Who're you?" she asked Terra, rather than choose. "You're pretty."
