— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompt below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility, or maybe you'd like to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles. Or how about participating in Christmas at Crystallis or fighting in a war for the warriors among you?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

Maggie | Final Fantasy XIV
[Her sensors weren't working properly. There was something strange going on here. The little girl shifted her body, blinking in confusion. Her moogle was saying something to her but she didn't seem to be paying attention to it. Unsteadily, she pushed herself to her feet, wobbling about as if she'd never stood on them before.]
Mommy? Mommy where are you? [She gasped and clasped her hands to her mouth.] I have a voice....I HAVE HANDS [She twisted and turned, looking herself over, gaping in awe.] What happened to me?
[The moogle fluttering next to the five year old girl looked very uneasy about this. This wasn't how this sort of thing was supposed to go. Right?]
'Um, like I was saying, kupo....you're a Hero of Light, and you're-' [The little girl cut him off before he could get much further.]
No! Mommy is the Hero! I'm her magitek armor! Where's Mommy! She'll know what to do!
9) Random Encounter
[Somehow the little girl had gotten ahold of a sword to go with the armor she had arrived in. How she managed to move in that platemail, let alone hold her sword up was a mystery and even then she was only just managing.
With her inexperience and her size, the normally weak critter she was trying to fight was on much more even odds. It dodged around her sword strikes and delivered a rough double kick that knocked her to the ground.]
Oooooh! I'm gonna getcha!
[Her eyes flared as her limit break activated. Rolling over onto all fours she opened her mouth wide.
A massive energy beam, the sort usually seen fired by a magitek armor, blasted across the field, disintegrating the monster and blowing up the tree behind it.
The little girl was left panting and trying to catch her breath while steam escaped from the gaps in her armor.]
1) Arrival
Meteor sighed, as he walked over and bent over.] Pray, child, where are your parents? Are you lost? [He looked at the moogle, arching an eyebrow.] Did you put her up to Adventuring, Moogle?
Re: 1) Arrival
I don't know where my Mommy is. She's a red haired Miqo'te who usually carries a spear around. The last thing I remember we were going to Hyrstmill to get it upgraded. She was really excited. Have you seen her?
[The moogle fussed, catching the hyur's accusation and tried to explain that it was the CRYSTAL that picked its heroes. Not the moogles.]
Re: 1) Arrival
I think I have seen your mother around, though I am uncertain if she is in town at the moment. It would be wise though to wait for her here, just in case.
[Something about the way she moved puzzled Meteor, but he continued.] My name's Sea, what's yours?
[The other moogle explained that Meteor was like this all the time. Can't stop sticking his nose into things.]
Re: 1) Arrival
My name's Maggie. [She grinned a wide toothy grin.] Uncle Wedge named me!

[He smiles a little, still just as confused as the small child from the discussion he had with his own moogle.]
What does your mother look like? Maybe we can look for her while your Moogle tells us what this place is?
Re: 1
Everyone looks so tall. This is what it must feel like to be a lalafell.
Uhhhh...Mommy has red hair...and she carries a spear around with her most of the time, and she's a Miqo'te! [Maggie props her fingers up on the side of her head like cat ears.]
no subject
[Because a world where moogles existed for real and weren't robots like Monomi and Monokuma was definitely out of the ordinary to say the least.]
no subject
My world? This isn't Hydaelyn?
[She looked around, seeming a bit more worried.]
Where's Uncle Cid? Or Uncle Wedge? They'll know what to do!
9?
What worried K'pandolu more, though, is the girl herself- she notes the steam almost absently, but while some of the other Heroes seem young to K'pandolu's eyes, this girl seems almost certainly the youngest. She moves swiftly to stand at the girl's side, reaching for a potion just in case.]
Are you all right?
Re: 9?
I'm fine. If Mommy was here she would have killed it in one shot. I gotta get strong like her!
no subject
It ought to come in time. […and largely in years, if you ask her, but that might not go over so well.]
Did she not come with you? [what in the hells is the world thinking, to do that?]
no subject
No. I didn't see her at all. The last thing I remember we were traveling to Hyrstmill to upgrade her spear. She just got the last parts that she needed to make it even stronger. [She smiled happily as she leaned against her sword.] Maybe I should try using a spear instead~

Are you alright?
[Worry colors her features as she looks at the girl. Just hearing her shout for her mother twists her heart.]
Re: 1) Arrival
The little one shrugged it off and looked at Terra with hope in her eyes.]
I'm okay but have you seen my Mommy? She's a Miqo'te with red hair and she usually carries around a bit spear. She also has a scar on her nose and one blue eye and one purple eye.
Re: 1) Arrival
I haven’t but I’ll look for her okay. What’s your name?
[She smiles, hoping to make the young girl feel more comfortable.]
I'm sorry, doing this to Terra never stops being funny
I'm a Reaper Class Magitek Armor! Uncle Wedge named me Maggie!

1. You need an adult, small child.
Shhhh, take a deep breath. We can look for your mom when you've calmed down.
Re: 1. You need an adult, small child.
Who are you? Do you know where my mommy is? How did I end up like this? Is Uncle Cid here?
[She wasn't perhaps as upset as he assumed but she was certainly excitable given her situation.]

Re: 1) Arrival
The little girl looks around. This certainly doesn't look like any place she's seen in Eorzea. Or any one that Mommy mentioned either.]
I...think so? Mommy and I were going to Hyrstmill. We just left Fallgourd Float. Do you know how to get there, Mr.Kobold?
Re: 1) Arrival
Not kobold. My name is Stitch. What's yours?
[On a sudden impulse, he steps forward to give her a hug.]
I lost someone, too. So maybe...I help you find yours, and you help me find mine?
Re: 1) Arrival
I'm Maggie. Uncle Wedge gave me that name. And sure! That sounds like a deal!
[She returns the hug with a giggle and a perhaps too tight squeeze.]
