Test Drive Meme

Applications will open on November 01st at 00:00 GMT+4 (October 31st at 15:00 EST) and close on November 08th at 23:59 GMT+4 (14:59 EST)
— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompt below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility, or maybe you'd like to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles. Or how about participating in Christmas at Crystallis or fighting in a war for the warriors among you?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

Yachiru Kusajishi || Bleach
"Come on Maki-chi! Let's find a chicken of our own"
"It's called a Chocobo, kupo."
Eventually, Yachiru spots a Chocobo and makes her Moogle activate the crystal. She moves forward. Suddenly, the bird lets out a giant 'KWEE!', dashes toward the tiny little girl and snatches her up. Running like mad, it speeds off to a random location and making a sudden stop. The bird drops the tiny child and scratches at the ground. Yachiru stands dusts herself off and speaks to the bird.
"That was fun! Did you find something Kyupi-chan?"
She turns and spots someone standing nearby who probably saw everything. Yachiru gives the person a cheerful wave.
"Hi!"
B)
A Chocobo is fast asleep in the forest clearing. It is away from its herd. Should you move closer to try to capture it, you'll see a little girl leaning against the bird. She is sorting through a pile of treasure. Ignoring the potions and ether, Yachiru sorts the things that interest her the most which are the plushes, gil, and empty bottles.
"Awww. I got more of the bottles filled with stuff. I wanted more of the plushies."
1)
Do you understand, kupo?
You took away my powers and my sword.
[Yachiru crosses her arms and pouts at her Moogle. She had not been listening at first since not being able to grasps at her powers. The Moogle deflated as if this was a point that had been repeated several times
Yes, kupo. It's necessary for you to become a Hero of Light. We granted you new powers to help fight-
Wait, I can fight stuff? DO I get to fight all kinds of monsters?
[Suddenly, her whole attitude changes from being grumpy to being cheerful. Her eyes seem to light up at the prospect of a fight. She balances on her heels and stared at her Moogle eagerly awaiting a response]
Yes, there are monster attacks every so often. In addition, you may train in the Monster arena to gain more experience or abilities, kupo.
Where is the monster place?
It's west from here. We can go...Wait! Where are you going, kupo?!?!
[Yachiru starts to run off in the wrong direction. Her Moogle frantically flying to catch up to the fast moving child
To fight the monsters!
[ooc:You can stop her or point her in the correct direction.]
13 Feel free to make up an event!
[Ooc:Open to all writing styles!]
#1
[Rukia had just been debating on whether she should call her by her rank, or call her 'Madam President.' Yachiru is already dashing away, though, so she had to make up her mind quick. It's not too surprising to see someone else from her world show up here, but Yachiru wasn't the first person she expected to see.]
[Is it terrible to be a little happy for the sake of a familiar face?]
Wait up!
[Did she mention going to fight monsters?]
no subject
Hi, Ruki!
[Yachiru trots over to Rukia. Meanwhile, her Moogle finally caught up and plops down on Yachiru's head]
no subject
At last, someone shorter than Rukia!Rukia smiled, glad to see the vice captain in such good spirits. And if she wasn't absolutely adorable with her Moogle, Rukia didn't know what was.]So you've been summoned here as well, I see. Is there anything I can assist you with?
[She didn't mind playing tour guide, and the world could be an awful lot to take in.]
no subject
Uhuh, it's really weird because I was at home with Ken-chan. Now, I'm here. Ruki, do you know where the place with all the monsters are? Maki-chi said there was a place were you could fight lots of monsters.
It's Minako, kupo.
no subject
The Monster Arena? I do.
[Rukia doesn't need to ask for the reason. Yachiru is tiny and cute, but she's a member of the 11th Division, and not an exception to the battle-loving shinigamis that serve under Kenpachi's authority. She'd be worried if she didn't already know that the Arena is the safest place in the world to face any number of monsters.]
I'll guide you there. Do you plan on doing some training?
no subject
Yeah! I have different powers now and I dunno what I can do. Plus, fighting all kinds of different monsters will be fun!
[While most of her anger at her powers being taken had worn off, it still didn't mean she was entirely alright with the situation. On the brighter note, figuring out her new power could prove to be fun. Yachiru was sure that Maki-chi mentioned something about her being a ninja]
no subject
Fun? I see.
[Rukia smiles.]
I took the liberty of studying some of the job classes available to us. Perhaps I might assist. Which jobs do you have?
no subject
probablysafer spot and proceeds to a sit on the shinigamis left shoulder]I'm a ninja and a dragon! Dragoon, kupo. Oh, I'm a ninja and dragoon!
no subject
[For all she knows, Yachiru might be able to do it right now.]
But as a ninja, you have access to an ability called 'Transience.' It will automatically allow you to dodge an attack and counter it with an attack of your own. It took me some time to adjust to this; I wasn't expecting it the first time it happened. But I'm certain you will be able to adjust with little difficulty.

B!
"Hi!" He looks over the pile of loot curiously, and then glances between the stranger and her bird. "Wow! Did you dig up all of that?"
no subject
"Hii!" Looking down at all the things she has collected, she nods. "Yeah, the old man said I had to find treasure to make sure Kyupi stayed my birdie. So, I went looking for stuff. But finding the stuff was fun, so we kept looking. Now, Kyupi taking a nap."
She gives the sleeping Chocobo a little pat.
no subject
He notes that pile of ethers and potions in particular, looking impressed. "You're new, right? You're lucky -- those'll come in handy if you don't have any healing Jobs!"
no subject
chickenChocobo did a fair amount of work today and deserves this nap. It also gives her time to sort through the things they dug up. She holds up one of the potion bottles."The bottles have healing stuff in them?" She stares at the bottle in amazement and gives it a little shake. "I didn't know that you could put healing stuff in bottles! Back home, we just went to the healing place to get all better."
no subject
Ven looks at her again, openly curious. "Do you have magic where you're from?"
no subject
She shakes her head, "No, we don't have magic back home. We just have spiritual energy. We have to go to a healer to get stuff fixed."
no subject
If she doesn't have any magic, that rules out a fair number of Jobs that Ven knows of. "So what Jobs did you get, anyway?"
no subject
Though, it might be better off if she never learns any magic. Yachiru is already destructive by herself. With the addition of magic, who know what kind of terrors she might unleash?
"Oh, I'm a ninja and a dragoon!"
no subject
At the mention of her Jobs, Ven's smile brightens. "Oh, yeah? I'm a Dragoon, too! It was one of my first." He knows several people with Ninja, but that's as far as his knowledge on that one goes.
4)
Are you okay there? The old man told me someone went out hunting and sent me along to check on you.
[He glances at the bird she caught the attention of. It seems more interested in its own business than anything else. Not properly captured yet.]
I'm Cloud. I work at the ranch. I'm also one of the Heroes. You're one of the one ones right?
no subject
I'm okay! I didn't know he was gonna run that fast, but it was fun.
[She nods]
Hi, Cloudie! I'm Yachiru. Yeah, my Moogle said I was a Hero now. I got here a little while ago.
no subject
[The familiarized version of his name catches him a little off guard. It also reminds him a little of Yuffie.
Remembering why he's here he fishes some greens from a pouch at his belt.]
If you want to take that bird back to the ranch with you you should feed these to it. It'll help show it you want to be its friend.
no subject
Is that the birdie's food? Can I have so I can some it to him
no subject
Yeah, gyshal greens are their favorite. It's also where they get their scent from.
[In his time working at the ranch Cloud has gotten used to the pungent aroma of the birds. He's at least been lucky enough to not pick it up all the time himself.
He turns to look at the Chocobo and smiles.]
It looks like you've got a good friend in the making though.
no subject
They smell a little funny but if Kyupi will like these...
[She walks over to the Chocobo and holds them out for the bird to eat them. It perks ups as if sensing the gyshal greens before it catches of them. The bird eats the greens and nuzzles Yachiru who giggles at the affectionate gesture]
Kyupi likes them!
[She is delighted by this. Now, she knows what to feed her Chocobo. Next time, she'll taste them since her bird enjoys them]
Uhuh! I hope we can be friends for a long time!
