Applications will open on November 01st at 00:00 GMT+4 (October 31st at 15:00 EST) and close on November 08th at 23:59 GMT+4 (14:59 EST)
— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompt below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility, or maybe you'd like to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles. Or how about participating in Christmas at Crystallis or fighting in a war for the warriors among you?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

I'd be more interested to know why you haven't run sooner. You can't possibly agree with their methods. Didn't you make a promise to Yona?
no subject
Of course serving that person is the most important duty to me. Though here, we have been chosen as well to help the people. I suppose the faster we can fulfill the mission here, the sooner we are allowed to return.
[Though he understands if it is not sitting right with Jaeha.] Can you honestly say you can ignore the needs of the people here?
no subject
[The smile is no longer present. He knows Kija hasn't been around Jaeha long enough (or so he thinks) to fully understand the green dragon's obsession with freedom, but surely he must have an inkling by now.]
No one asked me if I agreed to be placed here. No one asked you. Surely you saw how many others had been abducted from their worlds and forced into their roles? Were any of them asked?
[The corners of his mouth lift, but his expression is cold.]
Calling us 'heroes' does not disguise the truth of the matter: we are slaves. 'Hero' is merely a pretty label to ensure our compliance.
[He turns away from Kija, exposing his back to the younger dragon.]
I refuse to help this world.
no subject
So he can understand that Jaeha is this upset. It's true, they hadn't been asked. He can't say how willing people were here about this, though so far most people seemed alright with this.]
Jaeha...
[There's a small pause. Finding words for this was hard, a msistep and Jaeha would be running away again.]
Alright. I understand that you do not wish to risk your life for the people here. I, too, would also prefer it - having the knowledge that you would be by the side of the Princess to protect her.
[If anything, this much was still the top priority.]
I do not think you will be forced to fight, at least, so this world might send you back if it realizes it will be no use. [He smiles, weakly. He would have liked that, fighting alongside his brother once again, but at least he would stay safe that way. After all, Jaeha burdened himself too much with too many things on usual days.]
I will continue to fight, I have made a few precious comrades here and I do wish to be able to protect them as well. I suppose it would be nice if you can come for a visit every now and then until that time comes.
no subject
Haaaaahhhh...
[He sighs, turning away and folding his arms.]
I suppose I can manage that much.
[A visit might be nice. He doesn't care much for the hermit's lifestyle, and Kija isn't annoying. But there's one other thing that still bothers him.]
Your arm.
[His head turns faintly, as if he might look over his shoulder at the white dragon.]
Did you lose its power?
no subject
Anyways, the words make him smile genuinely.]
Thank you. I will be looking forward to that.
[Kija instinctively reaches out to clutch his arm. They had such a conversation already, albeit under very different circumstances.]
I did lose its power, unfortunately. You seem to be still fast even without the power of the dragon leg, though.
no subject
[Being charming and handsome do not contribute to speed, Jaeha. It does give him a chance to pat indicatively at his leg with a sparkling smile, though...mostly because he wants to feel if the scales are still there. Even through the layers of his robe and trousers, he can feel the texture of the dragon's leg. Disappointing. If this place was going to rob him of his powers, they could at least take away the ugly deformity while they were at it.]
I wonder if our successors have been born as a result of being brought to this place.
no subject
That statement, though, brought them back right to their original conversation. Kija presses his lips together before he answers.]
I do not think that is the case. [He really hopes it wasn't, though he had thought about it several times already.] I think it is strange that we have lost the power, but not the appearance. And if that was the case, then I am happy to have been able to serve her. [Though he would have been happier if he could serve her more, or at least die for her sake.]
no subject
So that's why you don't object to this place. You were just looking for a new purpose to justify your existence. The thought of an early retirement probably never even occurred to you.
no subject
Of course I am not retiring. [Their lives were too short for that anyways. As long as he had enough strength to move his body, he would go on.] I am not sure what you want to say, but... [Taking on his destiny had little to do with justifying his existence. Of course there was guilt mixed in, about being the reason why his father had died in the first place, but he had also felt bad for the previous Hakuryuus and wanted to fulfill their wishes.]
I just want to help and I do not wish to turn my back on the comrades I have made here. That is all there is to it. Plus, this one is really shy and seems to feel guilty enough.
[He gestures behind his back and the beginnings of a bobble start to show.]
no subject
[But he really likes being a hero here? Jaeha just doesn't get it, and the confusion shows easily on his face.]
Well...if you've made friends here, I suppose I can understand that.
[All he knows is Kija, though, so he has no such attachments. --Wait, this one is shy? Is he talking about himself?]
Hm?
[Then he gestures, and he sees the familiar pompom. He jerks back and points.]
How long has that been there?!
[Rude, Jaeha.]
no subject
[At least they have reached some kind of understanding. He tries not to think too hard about the implication that Jaeha did not think it would be worth fighting by his side - they had a brotherly bond, but that blood wasn't really connecting them anymore. Neither was their reason to fight.
It was as simple as that.
And as long as they didn't find a common goal again, it might stay that way. Even if Kija's feelings towards his brothers were never changing.]
The moogle? Quite some while. It usually hides behind my back.
[And indeed, any traces Jaeha might have seen seemed to have disappeared the moment he had started shouting.]
no subject
You sure that's wise? What if it goes spreading rumors about our conversation?
[He has a hard enough time opening up as it is, and that's with someone he knows fairly well. Having an interloper present means he'll have to resort to his usual stupidity.]
no subject
I do not think it will be going to do that. I do not think there is anything we need to hide anyways. It seems information about us seems to the people available here anyways.
