Applications will open on November 01st at 00:00 GMT+4 (October 31st at 15:00 EST) and close on November 08th at 23:59 GMT+4 (14:59 EST)
— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompt below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility, or maybe you'd like to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles. Or how about participating in Christmas at Crystallis or fighting in a war for the warriors among you?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

Aqua | Kingdom Hearts
[Darkness. Aqua's familiar with it by now. She's spent... she's not even sure how long she's been in the Realm of Darkness but it's log enough that she's familiar and that the sunlight feels too bright when the moogle wakes her.]
Wake up, kupo!
Kupo..?
[Shielding her eyes, she realizes that she's holding tight to a crystal and that she's not wearing what she'd had in the Realm of Darkness. And then she realizes the moogle is still talking to her, calling her a hero. What kind of hero is she though that she couldn't properly save her two best friends?]
I'm really not much of a hero.
But you are, kupo! You have a crystal like the Heroes of Light!
It's not mine.
All the heroes have one though. We don't just give them out, kupo!
[That isn't helpful but Aqua pulls herself to her feet. She knows moogles at least and they're doing their best that she can tell. Exploring and asking the natives seems like a better alternative right now.]
[ELEVEN]
[Aqua's heard of Blizball but only in passing. She's never seen a game or played herself. So what does she do? She finds a book about Bliztball of course! And reads it while watching a match. How else does one properly learn the game, after all?
It doesn't seem to difficult to grasp. She may not be as athletic as Terra but she's clever. From a tactical standpoint, she's do pretty well at the game.]
[WILDCARD]
[Hit me with whatever.]
11! /CRASHES INTO
Aqua sticks out, as she often does -- and even then, he does a double take, hardly daring to believe what he's seeing. He breaks into a grin and a run, his first impulse to throw himself into a hug around her -- but he slows halfway, noticing the book and... ha, seriously? She really hasn't changed.
Instead, Ven moves around so that he comes up behind her -- and leans to glance over her shoulder at the text.]
It's a lot more fun to play than read about, you know.
/is tackled to the ground
For the moment, the young master is fairly absorbed by her book and doesn't notice Ven approaching. So when someone is suddenly looking over her shoulder and commenting, she practically jumps up from where she's sitting, glancing towards him with wide eyes.
Wide eyes and opened mouth.]
Ven-!
[It's been a long time, at least she thinks it has. Time is so strange in the Realm of Darkness that she's not sure if he's been gone from their world for hours or years.
In a completely uncharacteristic act, Aqua drops the book and turns, grabbing Ven and pulling him into a hug. Whether her time away from the Realm of Light was long or short, it's good to see Ven awake and in one piece.]
\o/
Aqua! You're really here!
[Ven's perfectly aware of how long it's been -- although it's not entirely to his credit -- but the last few months have been much longer for him than the last thirteen years.
When he speaks again, it's quiet and a bit muffled, since he has no desire to lift his head from her shoulder just yet -- and a little sad-sounding, oddly for him.]
I knew you'd be okay... but... I'm glad you're here.
no subject
Of course I am, sleepyhead. Have you been daydreaming so hard that you imagined me?
[It's a big sisters right to tease, okay?
One hand moves to his hair and ruffles it a little before she eans back a little, making him look at her.]
We're both okay. That's what matters, we're both okay and together. So let's make the most of it, Ven.
no subject
Yeah! I've got a lot to tell you! I've been here a few months, actually -- and I kept hoping you'd show up, Aqua! I looked for you every time new Heroes showed up. [Some months held less hope than others, but he never gave up. He knew he would see her again someday -- her and Terra both.
And speaking of, that puts a damper on his enthusiasm. His arms fall away, as does his gaze.]
But... Terra's not here. I haven't seen him since the Graveyard.
[And judging by the fact that Ven doesn't ask her about him -- or look surprised that Terra's not with her -- he has a guess as to why that is. But that's a long story, probably better suited for after Aqua's a little more situated here; it's hard to tell it without giving Crystallis' context first, after all.]
1
Spotting the newcomer sitting on the ground, Cloud goes over to help her to her feet. He manages to look just a little dismayed as she beats him to the punch, but that doesn't stop him from offering his hand in greeting.]
Hi there, I'm Cloud. Welcome to Crystallis. I know this is probably a bit scary but don't worry, you're among friends.
no subject
Nice to meet you, Cloud. My name is Aqua. [It wasn't something to laugh about but the mention of Crystallis being scary, or at least being there being scary, earned a soft laugh from the blue-haired woman.]
It's alright. I think where I was just before this, most people would find scarier.
1! /seconds the crashing
[Says a quiet voice from not too far away. She didn't mean to eavesdrop, but couldn't help but overhear the older woman somewhat arguing with her moogle friend. Rielle's moogle also isn't too far behind her, looking rather interested. After all, Rielle had accepted that part so easily.]
You Heroes all have one when you arrive, kupo! I don't fully understand it, but sometimes we don't have to to know it's true, kupo.
[ELEVEN]
She takes a step towards her and then pauses. Aqua might not recognize her and she's had mixed reactions when she's tried to explain how she's met someone in the past. Instead Yuna takes a deep breath and walks over. Her eyes peering at Aqua's book as she takes a seat next to the girl she used to know.]
Do you want to learn to play?
[She dares to look up at Aqua now trying to look as if they've just met.]
I can help. I play on the Aqures Team.
no subject
Aqua takes a moment to mark her page before setting the book down and giving Yuna a proper look over. And the look she gives is clearly one lacking recognition.]
Ah, yeah, I kind of do. I just wanted to make sure I knew all the rules and everything.
no subject
If you have any questions I’d be happy to help. I’ve been playing for a while and have been watching the game even longer than that.
[Her mismatched gaze glances over at Aqua as she leans back in the seat.]
no subject
I wouldn't mind a hands on lesson really. I know all the rules now and the general idea of the game. Plus some of its history.
no subject
[Yuna smiles brightly, her hands clap together before looking over at the sphere pool. There were games scheduled all day today but she knew that tomorrow would be open.]
I can request time in the sphere pool but I can also show you outside of it. A lot of the practice's we do are outside the water to strength accuracy, precision and strength.
[The ex summoner already knows that Aqua has to things but learning with a Blitzball can be fun.]
