It wasn't that Ellie didn't receive many letters. She did. It was just unusual for Kupozen to deliver her mail while she was actually at home, which meant it probably hadn't come from one of her shadier contacts. He was smiling calmly as he passed her the missive, but there was a certain gleam in his eyes that told her he was far more amused than he let on. Puzzled, Ellie slipped her thumb under the envelope's flap, neatly popped it open, and read the letter.

...Was this...real? Estellise? Ellie had never heard of her. It must be someone new, she thought, and she cast a confused frown at Kupozen.

"She seems to be a very...nice...young lady. Outgoing and affable. Perhaps she could use a new friend?"

He wouldn't suggest something like that unless he thought Estellise could be of some use to her plans. Well, why not, she thought with a sigh as she put the letter aside. It was probably to her benefit if she made some acquaintances that weren't dark, brooding, or held questionable morals. She rose to her feet, her long blonde hair braided and pinned up, and asked Kupozen to lead the way. A visit was faster than written correspondence, and she didn't have any plans until late this evening in any case.

Approaching the house where this girl had been assigned to live, Ellie knocked on the door with a few light taps from her gloved knuckles.
