We can absolutely do that! Do you want to work with Ellie on something, or against The Brigand Leader's plots? I can think something up either way based on your preferences.

Hm, let me think...

Sephiroth would take an interest in learning more about the Cult, and also keeping at least loosely in the know with regards to the potential digging up of Diamond Weapon.

As for the Brigand Leader, since he's the military/within-rules type he would probably frown at people doing things less-than legally and under the table but at the same time he's not naïve enough to think that such things don't happen. Overall, he'd hope that if anyone found out anything important that they'd at least lodge it in a report in the archives somewhere and not keep to themselves, or at least he'd get a suspicion somewhere which he could pursue; he's wary that anyone could have their own agenda and has trust issues anyway.

It's almost too complicated for him to think about too heavily, given as he has his hands full with actual duties, a lot.

He's in a scene with Ales, currently, re:Ruby Crystal and it seems Ellie might also be helping with keeping that secret too? Ellie wasn't mentioned but for in the Action-brackets tho. At the very least Sephiroth appreciates that some particular Heroes of Light would react w/o thinking over it and is why he's keeping his Sapphire one quiet too.

Whatever Ellie finds out about the cult, she'll bring back to share with some Heroes who happen to be around. That'll be easy for him to get into.

I'm not sure how many people know about Diamond Weapon. It depends on what James Kidd told people, I guess? Ellie hasn't spoken about it with anyone who wasn't in the group that went after Artemicion. But she'll probably have an update on that as well.

As far as public knowledge about the Brigand Leader, most people don't know much. She's had more of an impact in Aerilon, and a few merchants have complained about running into brigands while transporting goods, but none of the merchants are harmed.

And yup! As Brigand Leader, she's keeping the ruby crystal under wraps too because ha ha ha hell no does she ever want that thing getting used.

RE: Diamond Weapon; I'm not sure at this point if Kidd/Seph are 'solid' enough for that to have been disclosed or if she even knows of the weapon correlation with regards to his world/this world as that might be a way in. I'll ask Matt a bit see if it could be worked. Probably not but never hurts to ask.

I'm not even sure what Ellie's current opinion of Sephiroth is, tbf? Last they talked was at the the Sage's Temple in Mysidia when he was going on about games and how they were being played iirc?...

As for Aerilon, haha Seph's never been there so couldn't really have a way in there either.

Sorry...this isn't going too well...

Her opinion is neutral for now. He's too wary of her for Ellie to consider recruiting him as a brigand, plus she doubts he's the type that would join or support her cause. He's too much of a duty-bound goody-two-shoes. But it could be improved, if that's what he's going for, or at least she could feign a friendship since she needs to keep up her hero's facade too.

At the very least, he can join the discussion once she presents it about what to do with Downapolis. I'll have that part be an OOC voting thing to keep threads from being bogged down with arguing and different viewpoints, but we can do a thread with them talking to each other afterward if you like!

Though duty-bound goody-two-shoes, he's only this way because he doesn't know how to be anything else. And I'm totally for Ellie feigning something of a friendship in order to figure this out if you'd like (though betrayal is something of a big deal for him, too so would have to be careful it doesn't go south - unless you'd want that?)

I'll keep an eye out for the Downapolis thing when it's ready but would ask please, in my interest if no one else's, that if you're doing it this ooc voting way that you spare a thought for those of us in different timezones that might end up excluded as a result. Quite often I find a lot of stuff gets organized when I'm asleep and is then incredibly hard to get involved with.

Well it won't be over Plurk, so you don't have to worry about missing it. I don't think anyone will be able to act ICly until after the event is over anyway. And betrayal is inevitable, since she'll eventually be unmasked as The Brigand Leader after a certain point, but the degree of betrayal is up to the people she has CR with. She'll be cutting ties, that's for sure.
