— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompts below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome To The World Of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a legendary Hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. It's probably time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred very often this past year-- Maybe the characters who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do You Like Your New Life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think it is possible to negotiate with the Calamity, you could even participate in the research on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest of them all in Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible!
3/ Neighborhood Woes...
The government of Aqures Ixen is sorry, but there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there are no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have be living with someone very cool and maybe an artist of great talent lives next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis De Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A Thing Called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite it to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A Thing Called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I Believe I Can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can also borrow the Heroes of Light's official Airship, the Enterprise and some characters even have their own airship! You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore the ancient ruins that may hold some precious information in the continent of ruins. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere!
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs Is Hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe he simply asked you to assist him to clean the laboratory. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The World Is Subject To Unrelenting Pain and Suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events Of The Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility or maybe you'd have liked to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have preferred to regain your true powers and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles or chase ghosts for a living. Or how about reliving some of your Worst Memories or fighting in A War for future of the world?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

Akane Kuroshiki | Zero Escape Series
[Wow...what a nice, big house this is! Honestly, Akane hadn't expected anything more than a spare room at the inn, so this is a pleasant surprise.]
Hello? Is anybody--oh!
[Knocking on the door causes it to swing open. It was already ajar? She holds up both of her hands, surprise clearly registering all over her face before she decides it can't hurt to take a little peek inside.]
Anybody home?
[Doesn't sound like it, if the resounding silence is her only answer. So Akane steps inside. This is where she's supposed to be living now, so it's not like she's actually intruding. It gives her a chance to wander around the living room and the kitchen, though she's polite enough to stay out of the bedrooms until she knows which one is hers. That's when a quiet 'splash' draws her attention. That sounded like it came from the back yard. One more place to explore, then!]
[And that's how you find your new roommate, Akane -- kneeling in the grass next to the manmade pond, a small box turtle slowly wandering over her lap as she giggles girlishly. What? Turtles are cute, it's not her fault.]
------------
4. Crystallis de Chocobo
Eeeeeeeeeeee!
[It's hard to tell if the brown-haired girl clinging to the neck of the sprinting chocobo is squealing from fear or sheer delight. The large yellow bird streaks across the corral, head down and wings spread, as Akane sits astride the mount leaning forward as well.]
[Get a good look at her face, however, and it's easy to recognize the unbridled joy reflected there. The bounding steps bounce and jostle her, but she doesn't seem to be in danger of sliding off.]
[At least, not until the chocobo bounds over the fence. That's when Akane takes a tumble, landing with a grunt in the tall grasses and rolling to a stop. Her clothes are rumpled, and her hair is wildly disheveled after her sudden crazy ride. But she just looks so happy...even if she's definitely going to bruise after all of this. To be alive, and feel the sun on her cheek, and smell the fresh country air... It's almost everything she could want. There's no horrific future waiting for her here, no half-existing between two realities, and only her brother knows what she had to do to stay alive. He's here with her too. It all feels right.]
[All that's missing is...]
[Akane's nose wrinkles as she shifts a little, feeling the solid lump in her pocket that's digging into the small of her back. Straightening her clothes puts the pocket back in the right place, as well as the little doll stuffed inside of it. No...it's better this way. The questions he'd ask aren't the sort she's prepared to answer right now, or ever. It's better for him to remember her as she used to be.]
[But still.]
[Akane rolls onto her stomach, propping her cheek up in her hand as the doll mysteriously finds its way into her other palm. He'd love this place, wouldn't he?]

"Hi! Are you new here? My name is Aang."
Momo had alerted him to the presence of someone in the yard, and now the lemur was perched on his shoulder examining the newcomer. Possibly to see if she was feeding the turtles, as well as playing with them. Momo had priorities, and the woman didn't appear to be a threat.

a cancer patientsomeone so young, but she certainly didn't mind. "Yep! I just got here today. My name's Akane," she introduced herself, and held out the turtle toward Aang. It stretched out its neck, paddling thick legs uselessly in the air now that it had nothing to stand on. "Nice to meet you, Aang!" Here, have a turtle to hold.no subject
He's not a cancer patient; he has eyebrows and eyelashesAang took the turtle, clearly familiar enough with handling animals. "I haven't been here long myself. Not really. At least in the city. It's nice to meet you, Akane."
He should check to see if the turtle wants a snack or something. Or if Akane wants a snack.

She climbed to her feet and brushed the stray blades of grass from her knees.
"I hope I didn't startle you. I wanted to take a look at the house I was assigned to stay in and see which room was supposed to be mine. Do we just pick one out?"
no subject
Which might seem odd since Aang is 14 and kind of reedy even if he's put on some height in the last few years. Maybe in the sort of historical piece where he is an apprentice or novice monk that seems reasonable.

She paused for a moment, then jumped back and threw up her hands. "N-not that I'm telling you what to do! I just think you might be happier that way, that's all."
4
Akane, you mind not recklessly endangering yourself in front of me?
[He snorts when he sees that damn doll.] Hasn't that fuckin' thing given us enough problems?
no subject
[She stuffs the doll away a little too quickly to be completely guileless, though. Akane knows why he's cursing at it, though. It was her fault she want back for it and got caught, but she's sure he'd never cast the blame on her. So he'll blame the doll.]
[Standing to her feet, she brushes the leaves of grass from her skirt and smiles. See? Good as new. She wears too many layers to show any bruises anyway.]
I have to learn sooner or later, don't I? Otherwise I'll have to run everywhere I want to go.
[The chocobo is returning, trilling inquisitively at her. Akane reaches up to stroke its feathered neck.]
Can you ride them, Aoi?
no subject
You can learn on a slower damned chocobo. [He checks her over. He's not saying he doesn't trust her to take care of herself, but not saying something doesn't mean it ain't true.]
'Course I can. I'm the best fuckin' rider these losers have ever seen.
no subject
[Akane seems very impressed, her hands clasped together in front of her, violet eyes wide and shining. Her big brother is the coolest person she knows in this place, and if he says he can ride a chocobo, then he can definitely ride a chocobo.]
[As for looking her over, she doesn't seem to be hurt. But there's a lot of grass tangled in her hair. And a single chocobo feather, just sticking out of the little pinned twist on her right side.]
Then maybe we could ride together?
