COMPELLED HONESTY MEME

Who knows what's going on, but all of a sudden you're overcome with the need to be honest. Some kind of magic illness, a curse an NPC cast on you for laughs, Jade Curtiss did it, etc.

Whatever the reason, your character will suddenly find they are unable to lie when answering any questions. Evasion is impossible: they just have to get the truth out there.

1. post your characters
2. reply to other people's characters with ic questions
3. your character replies to questions they received with the whole truth and nothing but
4. catch the gentle chaos unfold with a cup of coffee and a bag of Kupo Nuts.

Note: memes are not game canon, so you don't need to worry about in-game implications.

You don't need to apologize. It's my fault. I should've watched you better, protected you. I shouldn't have let anyone take you in the first place. I could've sent you through the 9th door and made sure you were safe.

You've always had to carry everybody's burdens. But it's kind of amazing. I don't remember you ever complaining about that. And you're still kicking yourself, thinking you didn't do enough when you did so, so much. You were just a teenager, Aoi, it would be insane to expect you to meet all those expectations you have for yourself.

[The worry fades from her face as her brow dips, her expression serious.]

Yeah, and we got those fuckers. [There's pride in his voice. He feels a little sick when he thinks about how they set up the Cradle crew to get murdered by Hongou, but he's still glad he doesn't have to worry about them hurting any other kids ever again.]

[She smiles a little, the dark look fading into one of quiet regret.]

Thank you. I put you through a lot. It was probably scary for you too.

[He tries to say, 'I wasn't scared', but it comes out...] Yeah, 'course I was scared! You sorta died.

[He shivers, set on edge by his inability to lie and say he was fine that whole time.

[She blinks for a moment, then smiles, her good humor returning quickly.]

Hahaha! I suppose that's a good way to put it. I never imagined I'd become a paradox.

[Akane's smile turns apologetic. She looks like she's about to tell him she's sorry.]
