Test Drive Meme

Applications will open on June 30th at 15:00 EST and close on July 08th at 14:59 EST
— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompts below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome To The World Of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a legendary Hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. It's probably time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred very often this past year-- Maybe the characters who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do You Like Your New Life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think it is possible to negotiate with the Calamity, you could even participate in the research on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest of them all in Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible!
3/ Neighborhood Woes...
The government of Aqures Ixen is sorry, but there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there are no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have be living with someone very cool and maybe an artist of great talent lives next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis De Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A Thing Called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite it to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A Thing Called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I Believe I Can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can also borrow the Heroes of Light's official Airship, the Enterprise and some characters even have their own airship! You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore the ancient ruins that may hold some precious information in the continent of ruins. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere!
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs Is Hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe he simply asked you to assist him to clean the laboratory. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The World Is Subject To Unrelenting Pain and Suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events Of The Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility or maybe you'd have liked to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have preferred to regain your true powers and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles or chase ghosts for a living. Or how about reliving some of your Worst Memories or fighting in A War for future of the world?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

Allie Stoklasa | OC
Th' hell!!
[The redheaded mechanic's eyes fluttered open, and the grogginess lasted for only half a second before she's suddenly upright, scrabbling clumsily up to her feet. Her body isn't nearly as awake and alert as her mind is, but it's catching up fast. She stumbles slightly and her fists are up as if expecting an attack. Green eyes flick left and right as she breathes hard, brow lowered darkly.]
[But then she sees Moogles. And a glowing orange crystal. And people clad in armor and robes.]
....th' hell...?
[Wary anger slowly fades, replaced by abject confusion. Her fists lower slightly as she stands a little straighter. She's still absolutely on guard, and if you're unfortunate to come up behind her in this state, then she absolutely pivots with lightning speed and throws a shockingly fierce punch into your face.]
[Those approaching from the front might get a more civil response. ...might.]
------------------------
8. Exploration (Trano Golsaucia)
[Allie can do without the beautiful stretches of wilderness, and snow-capped mountains, and damnable monsters. She's a city girl, always has been, always will be. Trano Golsaucia appeals to her so much more than most of the other places on this tiny world she got dropped on.]
[Especially when she's winning big piles of money.]
[The other poker players sigh in exasperation as Allie lays down her cards, her face void of any expression, and reaches out to gather the pot. Winning, losing, bluffing, folding, her features don't change with even so much as a tic. Except for this last hand. She'd allowed the corner of her lip to twitch just ever so slightly when she received a replacement for the cards she'd pushed back toward the dealer. Most folded. She won with a pair of Cids.]
[She could tell when the atmosphere was growing hostile, and she could tell that the other players weren't pleased to be losing consistently to the woman sitting in front of them. So she sweeps the gil into a pouch, cinches it tight, and touches two fingers to her brow in lieu of a goodbye. Then she turns to stride away.]
[Her movements are almost mannish in nature -- her hips don't sway, and her elbows protrude outward with hands loosely balled into fists. It might not discourage rougher sorts who might try to jump her on her way to her room at the inn, but it might stop some of those thoughts from taking seed in the first place. Her physique is lean and well toned, but she's not beefy enough to be intimidating, so it's all about body language and the expression she wears, both of which broadcast loudly: 'Don't touch me or I'll kick your ass.']
Winter Schnee | RWBY
1. Welcome (Back) to the World of Crystallis!
Winter's eyes snapped open as the last trace of crystal disappeared from her body. Her legs were too weak to support her weight, and she stumbled to the floor, throwing out her hands to catch herself as she panted for breath. Her pale skin had gone paler still, beads of perspiration popped onto her forehead. As strength returned to her body and clarity returned to her mind, her lashes shuttered, and her breathing slowed.
That had been an attack. She'd been sure of that much when the pain swept upon her so harshly and abruptly, crippling her in the streets before stealing her breath. Some might argue that it was a freak occurrence, but Winter was a soldier...and a socialite. She'd learned to recognize hostility, and seldom granted the benefit of the doubt, especially when the damage had been done.
Cold displeasure fell across her face, and she slowly drew herself up to her full height. She gave a sharp tug to straighten her clothing, drew her gloved hand across her brow to wipe away the sweat, and swept her fingers through her snowy bangs to put every hair in perfect order. When she faced the person responsible for placing her into this wretched state, she would do so with deadly, perfect calm.
Her heels clipped in a prim, ladylike fashion as she approached the door. As she lifted her hand to knock, she glanced back over her shoulder, Winter's steel blue gaze traveling over the assorted gathering of crystallized heroes, until she saw Qrow's still form.
Good. Stay there.
She rapped her knuckles sharply on the door and informed the nervous attendant that she wished to leave immediately, and to call her Moogle to the hospital immediately to take care of affairs. Not even five minutes awake, and Winter was ready to get down to business.
-------------------------
2. Do You Like Your New Life?
[Gods and goddesses, bless the pour souls assigned to be Winter's housemates, because the first thing she did when she arrived was inspect the living quarters to see if they were too her liking.]
[Spoilers: they weren't.]
[Ten minutes later there's a chore chart and a checklist of supplies to keep on hand, cleaning solutions that must be stocked, and a dozen of duties needed to put this place into perfect shape.]
[To be fair, while her standards are ridiculously high, Winter's name appears on the list of chores as often as anyone else's. She's not afraid to do her share of the work. But she expects others to pitch in and make the most of their situation, or they're welcome to pack up and move somewhere else.]
[When all the chores are complete, the groceries bought, and order reigns supreme, Winter brews glasses of iced tea, perfectly chilled and elegantly adorned with a slice of lemon, served on a tray. As long as she's kept happy, Winter can be a very pleasant roommate. It's just the matter of keeping her happy that's difficult.]
Sugar?
[She offers the tiny porcelain cup, filled with sugar cubes and a pair of tweezers so people don't use their unwashed hands to choose their sweetener.]
Gamma Akutabi | Zombie Powder
[Word has begun to spread about a tall and lanky man, striking and resplendent in his silver coat, long white
mullethair, and the black metal hammered into his left arm that covers part of his throat and face. Villagers point him out as he crosses the plains on a trusty chocobo, equally fierce of expression with an oddly bass-voiced 'WARK.' And here he comes now, riding into the town of Balicea. Some of the local folks gather, making room on the streets so as not to get in his way, but crowding close together for a better look.]'Is that him?'
'It is!'
'Gamma Akutabi!'
'The bounty hunter, that's him for sure!'
[Ignorant of their talk (or at least seeming like he doesn't hear them), Gamma dismounts, slinging a long leg off of the saddle.]
[And he immediately gets his foot caught in the stirrup as he faceplants straight into the ground.]
'...Uh.'
'Maybe it's someone else.'
'Is he okay?'
[The chocobo sighs deeply, and starts walking in the direction of the inn, dragging the rider carelessly along the streets.]
----------------------
9. Random Encounter
[Gamma always refused to take up any other weapons offered to him, content to carry the massive wrapped bundle on his back instead. It doesn't matter how good the swords and spears are, nor does he care if they're imbued with elemental magic. He likes what he's got, thanks. At least he's not rude about it. But several people have asked what's in the bundle, which only earns a cryptic little smile from the man. If it's a citizen, he just tells them it's a secret. If it's a fellow Hero, he tells them they'll find out eventually.]
[That time is now. The zombified corpses shambling relentlessly forward are apparently threat enough that Gamma yanks off the strips of cloth, revealing an enormous and oddly designed sword. There are tiny teeth embedded all along the edge of the blade. The hell is that?]
[His gloved fingers seize a small hatch just below the sword's guard, and he yanks, showing that the metal plate attached to the handle is bound on a long chain. A motor roars hungrily, and the teeth on the sword begin to spin, blurring as he revs the engine of his weapon.]
[Chainsaw swords.
Really, Kubo Tite? I mean, it's pretty badass but...]All right, let's put these poor slobs to rest, shall we?
8
[Cierra approaches the chocobo as it walks towards the inn, calmly waving it into stopping. There's nothing more distressing than coming across such a painful scene, so she hurries over and gently removes Gamma's foot from the stirrups. The poor guy, she must be really concerned about him, she...
...turns to the Chocobo instead, leaving Gamma on the ground.]
You're going to strain all the wrong muscles dragging a body like that. Are you alright, Chocobo?
[Did she even notice Gamma at all????]
Ha ha ha, perfect!
Prince Adam | He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
[Many unusual creatures have awakened in the world of Crystallis. Monsters, elves, bipedal animals, you name it.]
[But were any of those newcomers clad in a pink vest with furry purple underwear worn on the outside of form-fitting leggings? Did any of those newcomers have a blonde bowl-cut hairstyle?]
[Welcome to Crystallis, Prince Adam.]
[The prince of Eternia groans, putting a hand to his head. It feels like he's been napping for days. He gets his fur-topped boots underneath him and stands, swinging his head from left to right.]
Cringer? Orko!
[There's no sign of either of his friends.]
That's strange...
[He looks concerned, but he's not panicking. Instead he just starts walking for the nearest exit. He might be young, but he's got broad shoulders and an obviously powerful build despite his unfortunate choice of color scheme.]
-----------------------
7. I Believe I Can Fly~
[Adam is no stranger to flying machines. But he isn't really used to seeing them look so archaic and wooden. He'd much prefer to use one of Man-At-Arms's wind raiders to travel the land, but these bigger ships are useful for transporting large groups and heavy supplies.]
[Either way, he's not complaining. It's a free ride to this place called Mysidia, and that's where the Sage is rumored to live. Prince Adam knows he needs to see him. If he's anything like The Sorceress of Adam's world, then he might help Adam understand what he needs to do to reclaim his powers as He-Man in order to protect this world, and by extension, protect Eternia.]
[He leans his muscled arms on the railing, the wind in his hair, and his impotent Power Sword sheathed on his back. It isn't as if he's never been lost in other dimensions before, but he's always managed to find a way back
in a half hour time slotin a fairly short time. Unsure of what to do, he hopes this Sage can provide him the guidance he needs.][His introspection is cut off at the sound of someone making terrible groaning noises over the side of a ship. Uh oh, looks like someone's not used to this kind of travel.]
Hey there. Are you all right?
Elaine Mallory | The Dresden Files
[The horde of Moogles drifts by, some flapping tiny wings, others toddling along and wavering from side to side. Most bear signs. Some have parchment fashioned into cones which they're using to shout into and project their tiny voices.]
[But not all of the protestors have white fur and bright pom-poms dangling from their foreheads. One of the protestors is a pretty woman with long, coltish legs and arms, her brown hair hanging down to her waist and swinging with her steps.]
Better benefits! Better pay!
[She chants right along with them, because honestly? She agrees whole-heartedly that they aren't getting paid enough. As much as they might love kupo nuts, those won't always pay the bills, and their services are so vital and dependable for people around the world to communicate. So yes. Elaine is on their side. Spotting someone watching the proceedings with interest, Elaine's green eyes flick up and down, gauging the Hero of Light for signs of empathy. If it seems like they're at least considering the Moogle plight, then she quickens her steps to reach them, passing a folded slip of paper.]
Flyer?
[Then her generous mouth curves into a friendly smile.]
Or if you'd rather, we do have some extra signs should you decide to join us for an hour.
[It surely can't hurt, can it? She gestures with a jerk of her head toward the Moogles, inviting and warm.]
-----------------
9. Random Encounter
[Up until now, Elaine's never really showed any hint of being efficient in combat. She doesn't clad herself in armor, nor does she don flashy magician robes. She dresses instead in the style of the locals, favoring loose comfortable shirts, and denim jeans (if they have them) with a spangled chain belted around her trim waist.]
[However, as the trident-wielding sahaguin and the two spinning fire elementals face off against Elaine and her partner, there's a hint of the strength she's been hiding in the cool way she regards the creatures, sliding the chain loose from her belt notches and grasping it in her fingers. Unbound, it perhaps becomes more clear that one of the charms hanging from the links isn't just for the sake of bling: it's an electricity gem, twinkling brightly, and a green crackle of energy runs down the length of it.]
I'll take the Elementals, if you don't mind covering the Ninja Turtle rejects.
[She flashes her companion a confident little smile.]
6. A Thing Called Strike
[Detective Karrin Murphy stands there in a determined force of five feet tall. Her hands rest on her hips while her bright baby blue eyes stare the at the woman in front of her. She can't blame them after hearing what sort of working conditions the moogle have. Her own moogle has informed her that this is a monthly occurrence and in the end nothing ever changes.
It hardly seems like a good tactic to get anything done.]
If you really want to help them then you should think of another way. Perhaps learn the system here and speak to those who can change these conditions.
[Murphy isn't the type to just sit around and do nothing though she doesn't reward those who don't want to work for it.]

[Aang's world has only really started the Industrial Revolution, and the Fire Nation wasn't exactly the best place to try out civil disobedience until recently. So strikes are a new concept to him as leverage.]

Solis | OC
[HOLY CRAP A DRAGON!!! It isn't very big, probably about fifteen to twenty feet in length from head to tail, but everyone knows that any kind of dragon is bad news in this world. Its scales and wings are white, the blank and pupiless eyes glowing a dim shade of blue.]
[But it doesn't charge. It takes an uneasy step back, the tips of its sharp talons sinking into the marshy earth as it gives its wings an unsteady flap and spreads them wide, as if trying to make itself look bigger and more intimidating. It might be working, it might not. The tapered triangular head sways back and forth, assessing the Hero standing in front of it with a click of its teeth.]
I really wish you wouldn't.
[AHHHHHHHH IT TALKS! ...And sounds oddly feminine.]
---------------------------------
10. Getting Jobs is Hard
[One would think employment for dragons is rather simple. It isn't. It's hard to apply when most people close and lock the doors the moment they see a big white toothy lizard ambling up to their shops. Still, Solis is trying her best, and is regularly seen squatting in front of the Job Posting Board with her tail curled around her, studying the slips of paper intently.]
[Apparently she sees one that she likes, because she neatly nips the paper between her teeth, tearing it loose, and sets off down the street.]
[People are starting to get slightly more accustomed to seeing her move around, but it's a little fascinating just how quickly a busy street can empty before she even turns the corner.]
[Eventually she reaches your character, stretching out her neck with the paper extended so you can take it.]
Excuse me, but is this position still open? I would very much like to apply.
9
And she's talking to him.
Jack might as well be a kid in a candy store. He's only going to get to experience talking to a Dragon for the first time once. Better make it count. He hasn't even made a move for his sword, instead raising a hand in a wave.
"Hello? Uh, Captain Jack Harkness, and who are you?"

[Despite the other's protest, she makes no effort to back down. Nor does she produce the staff that now rested upon her back, nor the black tome at her oddly armored hip. Instead she rests a hand upon the other, old bones likely aching as she looked directly into those brilliant blue eyes unflinchingly before waving it off. How odd, to find such a proud creature cowering from the rest of their kind.]
Pah! As though I didn't have better things to do than harm another outsider.
[A coy smile crosses the witch's lips for but an instant, motioning with clawed hand for the girl to relax. For the time being, the dragon was safe from harm.]

Mina Aino | Sailor Moon (English Dub Anime AU)
Oh, wow!
[Mina stands near the prow of the ship, her bright blue eyes alive with excitement as she puts a hand up to her hair to make sure it doesn't sail right into her face. It flags behind her, the red ribbon that pins up the sides fluttering in the wind. They might be venturing off to fight a dangerous enemy, but that doesn't mean she can't enjoy the ride there, right? Nothing wrong with having a little fun before it's time to get serious.]
[And though it might not look like it the way she's smiling and laughing in the sunshine, Mina is very serious about the upcoming fight. She's been practicing her spells, working out on the practice dummy in the training yard, and testing her skills against lower level monsters late at night when most everyone else has gone to bed.]
[She's still a soldier, and she's been fighting evil for a long time. She knows the value of an enemy underestimating a pretty face.]
[Eventually the young blonde pulls away from the ship railing, and her Moogle swoops in to sit on her shoulder.]
Now let's see...
[She unfolds a glossy sheet of paper, and the Moogle leans forward to see the battle strategy Mina's planned...only to fall off of her shoulder in shock. Th-that's not a battle strategy, that's a page torn out of a magazine!]
Which outfit do you think I should get for my victory reward? I think the blue one is mega cute!
[Don't look at her like that, Moogle. There's a cute guy on this expedition, and Mina wants to impress him while showing off her skills on the battlefield. They'll have some downtime in town afterward, which means joining Cute Guy for tea, which means looking her best.]
-----------------------------------
8. Exploration
[Three Elezen, and one Mina. The odds are in her favor, clearly, because surely they've come to ask her out on a date. Not that she can blame them! She holds her blushing cheeks, doing her best to look demure, while her inner thoughts are squealing with triumph. Yes! Finally!]
'Hey there, blondie. You're coming with us.'
[Mina's eyes sparkle.]
You haven't even told me your names yet. I haven't even told you mine! Isn't this a little forward~?
[They're not impressed, and they've seen this sort of pre-fight banter that Heroes are so fond of, where they try to appear flirtatious and innocent. Problem is, Mina's serious. No one told her of the risk involved in traveling through Mysidia alone, or that there were slave traders to beware.]
[But when one of them grabs her arm a little too roughly, she starts to get the picture. Suddenly her youthful exuberance turns into a broken-hearted stare of utter betrayal as they start to surround her.]
You... YOU SKEEVY JERKS!!!!
[One Elezen goes flying, a lone tooth sailing through the air in his wake as Mina kicks him all the way back against the alley wall. She slams her elbow into the breadbasket of the one holding her arm, as her other hand comes up and crackles with magical energy.]
EAT IT!!!!
[The alleyway is alive with flashes of brilliant light and the pained howls of would-be slave traders. Then all is quiet.]
[Mina emerges, scowling, brushing at her sleeves. There's a scratch on her cheek that's bleeding, and she's a little roughed up, but it's nothing compared to the unconscious men lying in groaning heaps she left behind. She straightens her clothes, and sighs in frustration.]
Why is it so hard to get a date in this place who isn't a total creepazoid?
8
Only to find himself witnessing an entirely different kind of unpleasantness altogether. Inflicted on the bad guys... not that he'd be shedding any tears for them. Well, looks like his services won't be needed here. He'll just sit back, have a drink and watch a pretty blonde girl clean the clocks of some bad guys for a bit.
By the time the fight's over and done with he's out of the alley. And sort of... suddenly there casually leaning against a wall with his hands in his pockets when Mina stops to make her complaint.]
Heh. Well, I don't know about your dating moves, kid, but if that's how you fight then somebody better get the message out to all the creepazoids that it's time to leave town.

Sabin Rene Figaro | Final Fantasy VI | Beware rusty muse... >.>
[The world being torn apart? The world being rebuilt in a twisted caricature of itself? The world being saved and magic leaving it? Sabin could handle all of that. He'd ventured forth to seek his friends and would gladly do so again.
If he knew where he was. Aqures Ixen didn't look all that different from the other cities from his world as he stared at the crystal in his hand. He could hear the chatter of the Moogle who had introduced herself as Manjupo but was more transfixed by the glowing shard. He could sense power emanating from it as Manjupo explained that he was now a Hero of Light.
He frowned before pocketing the shard and moving toward the interior of the city.]
Are you even listening to a word I'm saying, kupo?!
Of course I am. I need to help save this place from some calamity or I'm never going to see my home again. Sounds simple enough.
[Manjupo bristled at Sabin's non-chalant answer: This is a serious matter!
13/ Gobble Snap Snarf
[Sabin cannot wage war or world saving on an empty stomach. It brought him to the closest eatery that he could find. He didn't have a large amount of gil on him, but money was no object to the Prince as he casually seated himself on a stool at the centre of the bar and slapped his gil down on the counter top.]
I'll have one of everything.
You don't have enough gil to afford all of that!
Relax Manjupo, it'll work itself out.
[Sabin grinned widely as the obliging shop owner brought out one of everything along with the bill and a gracious grin. Sabin noisily ate his fill before getting a good look at the bill.]
That will be 10,000 gil, Sir!
[Sabin's eyes bulged wide at the bill and looked at the meager amount of gil he'd put down on the countertop. He grinned sheepishly in response.]
I... don't suppose you need a hand back there do you?
no subject
[Oh, he can't pay. Suddenly, Mina has a fantastic idea. A really, truly, great idea! Is it to cover his bill? Of course not, she just got here, she doesn't have that kind of money. Instead, she devours everything on her plate and slurps down her soup as fast as she can before waving her hand in the air.]
Check, please!
[The Moogle waiter flutters over with a big smile and a slip of paper.]
'Was everything to your lik--'
Oh noooooooo, I can't find my wallet! WELP! Guess I better go do some dishes!
[She gets out of her chair, leaving the flustered Moogle behind.]
'But...wait...I...! OOooohhhh, kuppopo!!!'
[He waves his arms in angry frustration. Isn't anyone going to pay for their food?!]
[Mina, meanwhile, has sighted her target, and she is not going to leave this place until he's madly in love with her. Or until they kick her out. It might be the latter, because Mina and household chores do not mix. For now, she slyly sidles riiiiiiiiiiiight up to Sabin, practically sparkling all over with feigned innocence.]
Hi there! Are you washing dishes too? What a coincidence, so am I!
[She smiles brightly.]
I'm Mina, what's your name?
1/ Welcome to the World of Crystalis!
She has little to no memories of home and those she has are filled with Kefka and little else.
Terra's eyes look down towards her flowers and in her error she runs straight into Sabin.] Oh! I'm so... sorry.
[She looks up and a flash or recognition passes through her eyes. She doesn't know him from home but another, much darker memory, comes to mind. One where she'd been hunted by the Crystal forms of Sabin, Locke and Celes.]
John Freeman | Half Life: Full Life Consequences
John Freeman was standing on top of a house, watching all the people living in Aqures Ixen live and work and breath in the city. "It is a good day to do what has to be done by me and help the world be safe!" John Freeman said out loud. John Freeman back flipped off the house thanks to his Ninja Job and landed.
John Freeman said "Now I will go outside and fight Ancients and monsters so that people will be safe. You!" He pointed at a Hero that had been watching this strange scene. "Let's go and fight some monsters for gold together."
Will you join the hero on his quest?
9. Random Encounter
Suddenly, a zombie ghost appeared in front of the party! Well, it showed up out of nowhere like the zombie ghosts John Freeman fought at Ravenholm, but it was actually a Behemoth. But John Freeman was not afraid. John Freeman pulled out his gun and shot bullets at the Behemoth. "You will not kill us, monster!" yelled John Freeman as he fired a Lightning Bullet.
The Behemoth roared and charged at John Freeman, but John Freeman wasn't scared. He ran at the Behemoth, yelling something about full life consequences and ignoring the danger.
...He was going to get himself killed.
2.
"Good luck!" she wished him cheerfully, inclining her head on her long serpentine neck.
But what truly surprised her was the invitation he offered. He was asking Solis to fight monsters with him? Really and truly?!
"Y...yes! I would be honored!" Immediately she came trotting up to him, practically humming with excitement.
...Unless he was pointing at the Hero behind her, of course, and she just assumed he was talking to her.

Reese | Hustle Cat
[... So not the cafe. So not what he expected when he stepped out to try and deal with the aggressive, bat-wielding problem outside. He honestly has no idea where this is.]
[... heck he shouldn't even be a human being right now. But here he is. On two legs. In a strange place. With no cafe, no backup, nothing but himself and the seam ripper in his pocket.]
[No panic. He's not going to panic. Magic, right? Just turn around, open up reality and pop back home again. Save the day.]
[So that's what you'll find him trying to do. Waving around a seam ripper in the air and trying to throttle back what look like tears. Crying? Him?? Absolutely not.]
no subject
[She sighs heavily, pushing back one of her twin braids, and walks forward with a slow and casual stride so she doesn't wind up alarming him.]
What is it you are doing.
[There's a decidedly thick Germanic accent in her dusky voice, hinting at her place of origin (if she lived on Earth anyway). But her style of dress, with the heavy cloak around her shoulders and the sturdy leathers she's girded herself with, combined with the sheathed sword at her hip and heavy blacksmith's hammer strapped over her back, are probably indication enough that she doesn't hail from any modern society.]
You are panicking. Where is your Moogle? No one has explained this place to you yet?
[Tsk. This won't do at all.]

Terrance Smith | OC
Bloody hell. I don't care you frilly stuffed toy.
[Terrance pushes the moogle away, his voice gruff and his accent thick. He'd been at the site and he's been so close to finishing his research. This is the last thing he needs right now. He isn't a stranger to weird things and he won't dispute the obvious. He's not home, nothing about this place is familiar, which includes the lack of pollution in the air.
His professor would love it here.
His clothes where changed and even the soil feels different beneath his fingertips. He isn't a hero, he's a scientist. He's a genus to be specific and he'd just been about to shove his research down the colleges damn throat when he'd been plucked from his world.
Terrance begins to search his pockets before turning on his moogle.]
Get me my clothes and my tobacco. [He's not getting stuck in this bloody world without a smoke. The moogle looks nervous though there are plenty of reasons for Terrance to be irate.]
8/ Exploration
[Terrance can be found almost anywhere though he's always doing the same couple of things. He's avoiding people for one, he can't stand stupidity and he doesn't think that this place will be any better than his own. He's also inspecting the ground and the rocks.
He'll occasionally pick something up and then lift his crystal inspecting the surface.]
Cubic crystalline structure. [He notes aloud before pocketing the crystal and then inspecting the stone in front of him.] Sedimentary, most likely their equivalent to sandstone. These crystals wouldn't have formed here...
[He talks to himself a lot and his moogle seems to have realized this and now just follows silently behind the grad student.]

[Rukia's heard more than enough. She's fully aware of what newcomers go through here; she was one of those newcomers herself less than a year ago. But she's not about to tolerate a poor attitude being unleashed on someone who doesn't deserve it.]
[Fear the 4'8" woman wearing the Beastmaster leathers and furs with the imperious stare.]
Your Moogle is sent to help and assist you. But they are not your servants to insult and boss around. You would do well to treat them with respect should you wish to retain their help and respect.
[Chappopo, Rukia's opinion, is trailing further behind but now hovers to a stop just a few feet above and behind her. Rukia folds her arms.]
If you wish to regain your clothes, you'll have to complete an assignment from the regent of the city. It's generally not worth your time and effort unless you were exceptionally attached to what you had. Otherwise, if you dislike what you have now, I suggest you take the stipend left to you and visit one of the shops.

Riku Replica | Kingdom Hearts + towerofanimus memories
1. Welcome (Back) To the World of Crystallis!
He truly doubted anyone would visit him, or even care. Yet as he knocked on the door to let the nurse know he wanted out and to find Lin, he was surprised by the door opening almost immediately with a flurry of kupos and a tackle hug from the familiar flying furball. nearly sent back on his bum, it was all he could do to not fall as he felt his shirt moisten. Chuckling to himself, he patted her head. "Sorry for scaring you, Lin."
"Not scared, kupo! Worried," the mog protested with a sniffle, still clinging to his shirt. "When you went into stasis, I feared you'd... You deserve more than what the others say, kupo!"
"What are you talking about?" Ira raised an eyebrow, confused as the moogle seemed to stiffen before letting go, fretting.
"I uh, well... your file was open, so I... might have... looked at it."
...Were there ever a time to swear, this would be the time to do it. Yet instead of waiting for that, Ira motioned for her to follow. It was time to find relock that file and get to work.
2. Do You Like (Returning) To Your New Life?
Readjusting to Aquires Ixen wasn't all that hard to do, but learning what had happened since he'd gone into stasis was something he probably wasn't all he was prepared for. So he found himself in the training center, striking at a dummy with a training sword he'd borrowed so as to not fully destroy the target, in an effort to work out the anger. Of course they were all meant to be puppets. It wasn't as though it were any different than the norm for him, but...
He wanted to at least be useful if the others were to challenge their fate. Not wandering around aimlessly like he'd been forced to back on a destroyed husk of a husk that was Castle Oblivion. Maybe he'd see about getting into the military, if they'd accept a two year old failed experiment to their ranks.
4. Crystallis De Chocobo
It wasn't exactly something he wanted to do, considering he still at least felt the wounds from one of of his now discarded bodies whenever he thought of the creatures' more twisted cousins back "home", but he supposed it was time to stop judging the birds here based on that twisted world's reality. Tentatively approaching the stables, he had half a mind to ask the old man to help him...
At least, until he hesitated at the door, fist less than an inch from knocking on the wood surface. Ugh, why the hell was he hesitating? It's not like they were going to kill him like that one he'd tried to cast Cure on back...then...
Shaking his head, he knocked on the door. "Hello?"

Squall Leonhart | Final Fantasy VIII
[At least this place has airships. Crystallis isn’t much different from home in that sense.
Squall leans against the railing of the airship arms folded upon it. Somewhere floating near him is his moogle trying to get his attention by pulling gently on his coat and cooing. He ignores her completely. He wasn’t used to having the little thing around yet.
Looking out and down at the scenery below was a lot more comforting to him at the moment. He reaches out and tries to swat his moogle away.]
Stop that…
[ Exploration ]
[Aqures Ixen’s Third District. The Historical Center’s library. Squall finds himself here quite often, looking over books and reading whatever catches his eye. It makes him calm and he’s able to shut out the noisy city just a little bit. It’s also a plus that this place is usually pretty abandoned for the most part.
Squall sits reading the History of Crystallis. It was better place to start learning about this place than anything. His moogle lays napping on the table, her head propped up on some discarded books.]
...
I Believe I Can Fly
She rummages through her pockets on her bulky cargo pants, rifling through screws, snacks, and her own crystal until she finds the bag of Kupo Nuts. There's also a wrapped steamed bun she bought before boarding, so she takes that out and stuffs in in her mouth while she prepares her ammunition.]
"Hey. Jade. What're you planning?"
[Secundo reaches out for the bag of his precious food, but Jade holds a finger to his small mouth.]
Shhh. Just watch, and act natural. I'll buy you another one when we get off.
[She ignores his downtrodden look as she picks one nut out and hides the bag in her pocket. Squall's busy looking away, giving her the perfect shot.
Dink. A nut hits his head and bounces onto the floor.
There's a lot of people on this deck. Can it be the girl sitting far in the shadows, eating a bun and looking off into the distance?]

Silver the Hedgehog - Sonic Comics
In being a frequent traveler between alternate zones and various times, winding up somewhere completely new wasn't as jarring as it should've been. Of course there came the natural questions: where was he, how could he get back, how did he end up there. But with Silver there was always an underlying question of 'is this somehow my fault.'
"Another zone? Huh." He questioned with a glance around the new area. "I could've sworn all the portals between the other zones had been closed." The hedgehog cupped his hands around his mouth. "Hello? Is anyone out there?"
Sunset Shimmer | EqG all the way to the Friendship Games
Well, it wouldn't be the first time she's walked between worlds. This time it wasn't her doing, which is concerning. And Fumog's explanation isn't really reassuring her.
Sunset Shimmer clutches her Crystal and looks around the shops and the roads, looking for something - anything - that could calm her down and ground her. It's probably going to be a sweet shop with some ludicrous cupcake creation that'll manage it, if no one she recognizes finds her first.
4:
Well, at least the local riding animals are avian rather than equine. That would have been weird. Still, Sunset Shimmer is having an awkward time of learning how to ride a Chocobo. Fortunately, this particular Chocobo seems sympathetic to the plight of her rider and is amiably ambling along the road, stopping to peck at some greens every now and again.
Sunset gives her an awkward pat on the head for being a gentle ride. "Uh... Good girl?" she says, more asking than stating.
9:
Sadly, facing hostile goblins and Flans is more her element (lowercase) than the rest of what she's found so far. She vaults off her Chocobo, draws her sword and slashes in a single fluid motion (not hitting anything, or intending to: just establishing some distance), and with her offhand she throws Fire into the middle of the group.
Black Mage and Warrior were her jobs of choice. Warrior less for the chance to fight, and more for the chance to defend. She'll be damned if her friends, here or back home, are hurt on her watch again.
1
...and, then, she sees her - Sunset Shimmer. She's here. A human, but she's here.
"...Sunset? Sunset, is that you?!"
