[Some people didn't understand when she said 'take a picture', especially if they looked like they were from a fantasy setting. She's learned to modify what she says.
Holding up the camera.]
Basically I use this tool here, point it at you, and it stores a likeness of your image in it, that I could then move from it later onto a piece of paper.
It's...a bit tricky to explain. It's based in science though. I can indeed. See, when it's in the camera--that's what this is by the way--
[Letting the camera hang back around her neck she'll hold her hands up in a small measurement]
It's only about this small in the camera. But I can make it larger, and put it onto a piece of paper you could keep. Kind of like an instant painting, or at least a faster one.
[Deep breath, and how do you know she DOESN'T have a clue?]
I can tell enough to know that I'd like your photograph at least. You have good fashion sense, you carry yourself with pride and clearly are a warrior. You also either don't care what others think, or have had some pain in your past, or both--and I think that's admirable--from your arm-armor there.
[Albel blinks a few times, caught off guard, but he at least takes her hand.]
... Sheena, I don't know how to dance...
[It was probably expected of the noble families, but anything Albel was taught as a child was often ignored in favor of war games. Now he'd forgotten almost everything "courtly."]
[ Sheena squeezes his hand gently and shakes her head before leaning up to whisper to him. ]
Yes, you do. You just don't know you do. [ She pulls back for a moment and smiles. ] I've seen you fight, remember? If you can move gracefully on a battlefield, you can do so here.
[Albel blinked uncertainly, his eyes going from her to his feet to the floor, then back again.]
It's a little different...
[Dancing wasn't exactly like trying to kill someone with precision and efficiency. He'd had various tutors when he was younger for such courtly things, but he hadn't ever really taken it seriously. He'd always had military goals. Now he had to try to remember all of that "fluff."]
[ One look in her eyes would show she was being serious. There was grace on the battlefield as well as in dance. She honestly believed that Albel was graceful in both.
And if he thought about it, there was a degree of precision and efficiency in dance; he just had to find it. With Sheena helping, of course.
Smiling, she squeezed his hand and placed his other one where it should go on her waist before placing hers on his shoulder. ]
That's all I'm asking. I think you just may be surprised.
Albel
Re: Albel
Don't mind her as she approaches with a camera around her neck and a friendly smile.]
Excuse me sir?
Re: Albel
Yes?
Re: Albel
It probably helps that she is approaching Albel as she would any other person. No fear here.]
I was wondering if I could ask you a favor? It's really easy, and doesn't require very much on your part at all to help me.
Re: Albel
What is it?
[Look, he was even listening!]

Re: Albel
It stores a likeness of my image? How... ?
[He shook his head.]
And then you can put it all on paper?

Why would you want a painting of me?
no subject
Well, a few reasons. I'm hoping to get pictures of all of us Heroes of Light...to help me remember.
[That grin is faltering only slightly--there's some loss here. She brings it back a moment later.]
But also I really think you look neat. So, some of it is admiration, if that's ok?
[Have a hand-held out to shake after a small half-curtsy.]
I'm Lydia Deetz. It's nice to meet you.

You admire me?
[N O P E]
[He waves a hand and rolls his eyes, already shutting down.]
Whatever, girl. Take your instant-painting. But don't lie to me.
no subject
I'm serious though, about both of my statements and I'm not lying.
[She really isn't, she's entirely genuine.]
no subject
I'm not saying that you shouldn't. [Because if she had a clue, then it would only be natural.]
But it makes little sense if you know nothing of me.

What... are these?

Dance with me...

I guess I can try.
