1/ Welcome To The World Of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a legendary Hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. It's probably time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred very often this past year-- Maybe the characters who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do You Like Your New Life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think it is possible to negotiate with the Calamity, you could even participate in the research on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest of them all in Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible!
3/ Neighborhood Woes...
The government of Aqures Ixen is sorry, but there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there are no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have be living with someone very cool and maybe an artist of great talent lives next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis De Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A Thing Called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite it to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A Thing Called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I Believe I Can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can also borrow the Heroes of Light's official Airship, the Enterprise and some characters even have their own airship! You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore the ancient ruins that may hold some precious information in the continent of ruins. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere!
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs Is Hard
It all started when you asked Cid to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe he simply asked you to assist him to clean the laboratory. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The World Is Subject To Unrelenting Pain and Suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events Of The Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility or maybe you'd have liked to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have preferred to regain your true powers and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles or chase ghosts for a living. Or how about reliving some of your Worst Memories or fighting in A War for future of the world?

[Somehow she still made it sound cheery, not judgemental. Just practical advice. She also really didn't blame him. It was at least partly her fault, since he'd realized he was being watched, that the zombie snuck up on him.]
You're not bad to hang out with yourself. Too bad I can't show you the place I'm used to exploring.
[Of course, most people wouldn't understand the Neitherworld the way she did. She'd have to make it clear that no--you do not fight the monsters there. Most of them are nice, and already dead anyways.]

So, I've been told by one of my bestfriend back home but it doesn't stop me from feeling like a snitty creature of the grave already. [He didn't want his posse here, but at the same time he'd be happy to see them. It would mean he wouldn't be so alone and he had Fujin to talk to.]
You can always show me next time. [If there would be a next time, he couldn't help thinking, after running into Zell with his big mouth, there was a big ass maybe that he'd open his mouth and let Lydia know what a monster he actually was. He frowned to himself, but kept walking. It wasn't something he needed to focus on right now.

[Hands behind her back, a hint of sadness on her face but not like the glimpses he's gotten before.]
Maybe not 'normal' in everyone else's eyes. Most people ignore the strange and unusual. I am strange and unusual.
[There's a shrug though, and she'll meet his gaze again.]
But nope, have a Dad, and a step mom. We live in a small suburban modern town. I go to a private school for girls. Dad's a former real estate manager and broker, Mother is an artist.

She wears an eyepatch, has red eyes, silver hair and pale ass skin. She only speaks using one word around people she's not close to. It's weird to others, but not so much me. She's pretty normal in my opinion. [he shrugged.]
Sounds like you had a good life. Maybe you'll get to go back there eventually? Bet you miss the hell out of your friends and family. [He knew what it was like to miss friends, but he didn't know much in the way of family. He guessed the posse was his family.]

It would be harder, given he was tall and she'd only just met him, but Lydia could work with this. Quickening her stride slightly before looping her arm around his to tug him with her. They would get to the transport faster at a quicker walk, and she didn't mind.]
She sounds really neat. It'd be cool to meet her, but I also kind of hope she never comes here. Crystallis is not an easy place, or as fun as it might seem.
[Then he's talking about her life--a good life? maybe. She missed her Delia, and she missed her Father yes--and there was love there, even if they didn't get her. She missed Bertha and Prudence, but they were really all she had in terms of 'friends' in Peaceful pines.]
I do, but I didn't feel at home, in Peaceful Pines.

School isn't bad, and I do love my family--but they don't always get me. I'm also kind of the odd kid, at school. My friends there are a redheaded bookworm who's very shy, and a slightly awkward gangly boy-crazy girl.
Where I would take you, if I had a choice, is the Neitherworld. THAT's where I always felt like I fit in more, and where my best friend lives.
