Character: [OU] Akane Kurashiki
Canon: 999 / Zero Escape
Info: A nice girl who has to make some hard choices in order to make sure the future of the world is preserved. Her bio is full of spoilers, so if you haven't played the game or watched a walkthrough, you should. It's a fantastic mystery and her story is pretty heart-wrenching.
Job(s): Illusionist/Time Mage/Seer, with Summoner, Crystal Researcher, and Magitek Knight on reserve.
Housing: House B-08. It has a rabbit hutch, which contains one (1) bunny.
Other Housing: None.
Moogle: Keys Kupo. A belligerent and foul-mouthed Moogle who sure seems to act like a certain brother...
Status: Akane's doing all right. She has no idea what she's doing or how to go about doing it, but she genuinely wants to help. Too bad her esper abilities don't work here, or she could see everything and work toward getting that golden ending.
Employment: She works full time at the lab as a researcher.
Plans: I actually don't have anything big planned for Akane. She's just fun for CR, and working diligently at mastering her jobs. She's better suited for keeping to the back lines of a fight, so she's picking jobs that will keep her away from the thick of combat.
Desired CR: Something where she can be a lot closer to someone. Most of her friendships are pretty surface-level, in that no one really knows all that much about her. Opportunities to get to know someone better are very welcome.
Undesired Things: Though Akane does absolutely have a ruthless side to her, it's not something I'd enjoy coming to light on more than a rare basis. Narasimha is someone that really has earned her wrath enough that she would conspire to kill him. But she's got far more hope and optimism than cold-blooded vengeance, so I'd rather focus on that.
Shipping: It's a possibility. She cares a lot about her childhood friend, Junpei, but with the right CR she could find herself falling for someone else. Her first priority will always be saving the world, though.

Canon: Fullmetal Alchemist (first anime)
Info: A homunculus in a mortal body searching for the means to become human. Her boobs can crack walnuts.
Job(s): Blacksmith/Scholar/Alchemist is what she's got now. She also has Illusionist/Dark Knight (Overlord), Dragoon, Crystal Researcher, and Black Mage.
Housing: B-05
Other Housing: None.
Moogle: Kujarl, who likes fighting and feats of strength. Crude and slightly bloodthirsty, weird for a Moogle.
Status: She's a lot more stressed out than she shows. Her ultimate goal of making a philosopher's stone is hitting endless dead ends, and more and more she's starting to realize (to her chagrin) that she desires humanity far more than being physically human. She distrusts anyone who openly voiced their belief that they should kill Palitutu despite her being an important resource.
Employment: If she's short on cash, she runs out and murders a bunch of monsters until she can get what she needs.
Plans: I'm pretty flexible with Lust's development, so she could actually go a lot of different ways depending on how people treat her and the way the game progresses. Narasimha and the cultists must die, that one she's fixated on for what they did to her. In the end, she could end up taking on a homunculus custom job and embracing her monstrous side for what it is if she loses all her hope, or developing into a pretty decent person and loyal friend.
Desired CR: Anything. Positive CR to show her what humanity is like, negative CR to spur on her disgust and hatred. Just be prepared to deal with someone whose conscience is bean-sized right now; guilt trips and condescension aren't going to impress her.
Undesired Things: Though you can if you want, be aware that she WILL kill someone who intentionally tries to interfere with her plans to be human. Manipulating her and failing to keep your promises will also result in some very negative CR. So if that's not what you want, tread carefully.
Shipping: It's possible. She's slow to trust someone to that degree, and she's not interested in shallow relationships. But someone persistent could surely win her over, especially if that person seems useful to her. Just be patient; she's selfish by nature, and has a lot of growing to do.

Canon: Tales of the Abyss
Info: A young woman with the heart of a soldier, she is nonetheless motherly and is still a bit of a teenager. Test this out with offerings of cute things, or with October coming up there is the paranormal....
Job(s): Bard, Red Mage, Time Mage, Illusionist all maxed. Santa Claus, Dancer, Archer, Airbender in reserve. And she's about to obtain and max out White Mage.
Housing: A-11 with Ace and their feathery children
Other Housing: The military barracks when she's there.
Moogle: Sein, a quiet but spontaneously passionate Moogle, especially when it comes to his Hero and her happiness.
Status: Everything about Revelations and what she learned from it has her feeling conflicted, especially with what she saw in her vision and knowing it steered the Heroes in sparing Palitutu's life for now. She'll do whatever she can in relief and evacuation efforts, and intends to give Jade her full support when it comes to the Soul Divider plan. Otherwise, she's keeping to herself a lot during this time of reflection, so feel free to swoop in and drag her around.

Employment: Still enlisted in the Military and likely seeking another promotion soon, though when she can she offers help in the flower shop.
Plans: Most of September will likely be reserved for resolving all the things that happened in August, though she is joining the last Chocobo Forest trip and will be going to the meeting with the Sage, no matter now much she may personally not want to. However, if anyone wants to further discuss the vision she had that influenced the decision to spare Palitutu's life, be it positive or negative, feel free to hit me up!
Desired CR: I'm up for any cr, though someone mothering her for once would be great.
Undesired Things: Nothing I can think of right now, bring it on.
Shipping: She's married to Ace dating a Chocobo nerd, how do you think all these chicks happened? Her heart is wholly dedicated to him, if she wasn't they wouldn't be having their current problems. Feel free to try, though, and prepare for the appropriate flavour of rejection.

I think I remember one(?) thread which seems silly considering how much they're both working?

I've been meaning to hit you up on that, given their interactions would have overlapped a lot by now even if it was indirectly. Now seems like a prime time, given he tagged along in Auldrant and she saw how much his death affected group morale and Terra during the bad timeline.

And whether they'd actually spoken often or not, she holds respect for him and all he's done and accomplished.

Exactly! I'm all for hand-waving x, y or c CR that might have happened while they're on duty.

Since dealing with relief and/or security for refugees has been rather up there on the military things-to-do for a while! And guarding the Mysidian Tower. And keeping an eye on Mograma....ugh, no wonder he doesn't get time for much else! xD

Not to mention the bro-ness that seems to have developed between him/Jade, too!

There is a concern regarding Downapolis now too, what would Tear's stance/opinion be on that?

It would definitely make sense for them to be so busy between their respective duties that they never had a chance for a proper, not work-related conversation, I think. And after seeing the way he and Jade worked together in the Ultima battle, there's really no way she can feign ignorance about their closeness.

As for her opinion on Downapolis, she's definitely of the mindset that it should be investigated further and they should do something about it, especially with what little information they have.

I can't remember if it was made public that they were partly responsible for what happened to the other set of Heroes, so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but if it is then she definitely has a personal grudge against them. Two of her castmates were crystallised, and another outright died who also happened to be her previous not!boyfriend, so there's that factor.

It does make sense, as also does perhaps the reason why they haven't talked all that much out of work is for a lack of knowing where to start with a non-work related discussion? I'm sure he respects that good work that Tear puts into her job at Esdham workaholics? much?.

I'm not sure how public that was either but (iirc) Lucrecia kept it all in a journal which I'm sure that Sephiroth has at least been through once or twice so there must be some idea about it - I also need to go back and read that again for a refresh before we start thinking in that direction too.

The fact that they were able to get in during an -obviously intended- blackout at the Tower, to save Downapolis has kind of underlined the importance of 'doing something' about the cult, at least to Sephiroth anyway. A security risk like shouldn't just be ignored...
