Info: A soldier and scientist prone to sarcasm and trolling, although he does genuinely look out for people who manage to sneak their way into his cold, bitter heart. Forever doomed to be the Team Dad, despite his protests.
Job(s): Onion Knight + Crystal Researcher, nine other Jobs maxed.
Housing: B-14
Other Housing: N/A
Moogle: Rosepuff is overly affectionate and prone to emotional outbursts. Pretty much the opposite of Jade.
Status: Still working hard at solving their situation, preferably without excessive lack of morality involved if at all possible. Since Palitutu at least conceded his idea during the last event had some merit, he's going to keep pursuing that. (And hope that his ideas won't end up blowing up in their faces one of these days. People tend to die when he messes up.)
Employment: Full-time researcher at Palitutu's lab.
Plans: Jade wants to go down into the crystal caves beneath the Crystal Life Tree and figure out how the Soul Divider works so that they can hopefully improve it and solve the issue of the First Crystal losing its energy. This is probably going to be a player plot -- I'm thinking tentatively around early October? I'll let everyone know once I have more details narrowed down.
Also, this is more of a vague idea I've been tossing around, but Jade could write up a brief IC summary of the current situation to help newbies and veterans alike to keep on top of things? I don't know whether this would call for a meeting or just get distributed via Mognet, but I'd be willing to work something out if people are interested.
Desired CR: Any and all! People to troll, people to troll with, people persistent enough to be friends with him... Negative CR would be interesting too.
Undesired Things: Nothing besides perma-death comes to mind, but I'd rather be warned of potential trauma beforehand.
Shipping: May... be? It would have to grow naturally from CR.
Additional Comment: I live on backtags. If I'm being too slow with a thread, feel free to prod me!

/sticks self to like glue for Soul Divider things; only as this is one of the last things Terra and him spoke about.

Also it would make sense if Seph ends up living in the same house with Jade?

Jade would be glad to have him along! And yeah, he got no new housemates this round, so it's still just him at the apartment. Should give Seph enough privacy while still letting Jade keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't isolate himself too much.

For me right now it's more about what needs to happen to get Seph from camping at Esdham forever, into moving in with Jade.

I feel like there should be a serious conversation about mental health (given canon that Jade knows!) on the cards but not sure at what point he'd be able to take critique like that...

We could always just see how our current threads go and how Seph's state of mind develops, and then do a log once it feels natural. Winging it usually seems to work with these two.

Ira brought a few blueprints and materials from the Tower back, and would be happy to share those if asked. He'd also probably dislike Jade on principle because scientist.

Also Lucrecia would be more than happy to help with the Soul Divider.

I think I can probably manage it for the most part, but I might want other people's input before posting to make sure I haven't missed stuff or gotten anything wrong. Expect a ping on plurk if that happens!

Rukia wants to take a trip to the First Crystal too, so count her in ICly and OOCly. And if he needs illustrations for his summary, she will provide her oh-so-helpful talents.

And they need an excuse to banter/troll each other again.

Jade might take her up on that offer. Once he got over being portrayed as a bunny, he ended up actually liking her illustrations. Mostly because of other people's reactions, but also because it's oddly endearing how proud she is of her artistic sense.

And yes, they absolutely do! It's a bit hard to get Jade into situations where he can be successfully trolled, but I'm sure Rukia will manage it.♥

EXCUSE HIM being a bunny is the highest compliment one can be paid. (But she'll be happy he received them well, because hell yes she's proud of her work.)

I'm sure they'll get a chance to mess around en route to the crystal tree and have more conversations and bonding moments. Maybe one can protect the other if a powerful monster pops up. First aid is always a good excuse to improve friendship! (Especially if he gets a rabbit band-aid.)
