Much like my homeboy here, I'm not so great with words. But being in this game from open til close was an amazing experience and I'm really glad to have been a part of it. Thanks to the mods and other players for making it a great game to call home for the last three years. <3

I won't ever forget my time here. I've met so many wonderful people here. Not to mention it brought back my love for the entire Final Fantasy series.

While I have not been with the game from its inception, may I say what a delight it was to behold for even longer than I was an active player (and then later, a helper+ moderator). May all of your future endeavors prosper, and may you ever walk tall, my friends.

I played the literal Final Fantasy!Antichrist what did you expect, unicorns and rainbows?

Ahh, what I wouldn't give to have spent more time here! And to think I was having questions about whether to come back or not, my will was weak and am I ever glad it was.

cw: pet death/ I got accepted into Melodies the same time my companion pup of almost 12 years passed on, and I think having been welcomed here and having a lot of fun made me feel a lot less alone. I was surprised how engaged I got with the plot and lore while being more or less canonblind-- the days poking around the FF wiki to make sure I was getting my terms right were good.

I'm really grateful to you guys. This is my first time reaching an endgame, although I somewhat "cheated" in that it was a return than a long run. But it's the quality of time, and not the quantity in my end.

Playing early canon Minato was a conscious decision that paid off immensely, and I'm fairly certain I won't be able to ever repeat it the same way I did here. I hope I didn't ramble too much when it came to the sacrificial introspection! Being the sappy person I am, I wanted the goodbye and good luck to extend to you guys as well-- I'm sure some of you I'll still be seeing around aha! But for others, it's a matter of wishing you the best. This is the game where I believe player involvement mattered and paid off the most in my 7 years of journal RP, I won't be forgetting it. Everyone made this happen, thank you.

This has been a wonderful game and it has been an honor and a privilege to share this journey with you all.

I'm kind of at a loss for words here, but I want to thank everyone for the fantastic ride. Not only was it a blast, my time in MoL also helped me through a very rough patch IRL. I'm in a much better place than I was two and a half years ago and part of the credit goes to the friends I met here and the mods for crafting a plot that sparked my motivation again and again when nothing else did. I couldn't have asked for a better game.

I'd be happy to do more epilogue stuff and old threads with people. Beyond that, thank you all for the great memories, and I hope to see you again in other games!

Hi all! Thanks for putting up with me and my losers for the past 3 years. Melodies was my first DWRP and I'm pretty sure I'm spoiled for life now.

I loved playing with all of you and modding for you. I hope that we can all play together again someday ~~in Melodies 2: Electric Boogaloo~~.

I'm so glad I was able to be a part of this game from start to finish... Melodies seriously renewed my faith in DWRP and has been one of the best RP experiences in my many long years of being in this hobby. The players have been wonderful, the plot was out of this world, and I was able to write things I never imagined being able to with all of my characters because of you all!

Thank you so much everyone, mods and players alike, I'll never forget the wonderful experiences and tags and friendly players that I met along the way in this wonderful corner of dreamwidth. c':

I'm not sure what to say. Melodies of Life was the first game I modded and I was fully prepared to see it crash and burn within a few months. The Job system and the map were so-so. I had no idea how to write a compelling plot and good NPCs all while keeping the spotlight on the main characters, your characters. Is doing this going to put too much emphasis the NPCs? Is doing that going to make them so boring there might as well not be an overarching plot? I still really don't know how to do it correctly to this day.

But somehow, that worked out and that's all thanks to you. The characters and their players changed and expanded the game in ways I hadn't foreseen. I'd like to thank everyone who app'd into the game, even if you couldn't stay to the very end. It was a pleasure modding this game with you all. I wish I could have been an active player as well, but multi-tasking isn't one of my strong suits, perhaps another time!

I'd also like to thank all the other mods. Without them the game would have closed a lot earlier as my willpower tends to wane into nothingness when I'm feeling down. That and they deserve all the credit for how well the game has run. Application, helping with events, proof-reading new posts, handling boss battles, replying to player queries, ~~suggesting more cruel ways to handle events than I had imagined,~~ etc. They've done so much and I thank them for all they've done.

So, thank you for the memories and all the ways you contributed to the game!

Hey everyone!

I know I dropped off the last few months, but I just wanted to think everyone here for the ride. When I joined MoL, I was in the middle of really bad RP burnout, and I can't think y'all enough for helping me enjoy this hobby again.

As an RPer (and a diehard FF fan) I can't think of a better game I have played in. This has been one the most well thought out, well executed RP game that I've ever been a part of, and hats off to y'all for making that possible.

Well guys, we did it! We hit all hit a few bumps in the road along the way but I've had fun here! I'm not too good with the wordy eloquent sappy stuff but I've enjoyed threading with everyone that I interacted with. It really made me think about things I'd never considered with Selphie. Thanks for all the good times and for putting up with my overenthusiastic ways over the past year. I'm glad that I came back.

Thank you all for- well, all of this? Thanks for letting me play this dumb cat off of people, it's been a really good time.
