I love all of the threads we had together, and also stalking all of Barkeep's friendfics. Highlights were Ramza and Barkeep bonding moments, Dead Bard, all of our ship, and trolling on the anon-board.

You've also been an amazing mod. You don't get enough credit for that because so much of it is behind the scene, but thank you for keeping everyone organized, remembering all the details, and making sure stuff got done on time. You're an amazing player and mod, and you've helped shape this game and make it into something incredible.

Just wanted to pop in and say, you are brilliant with the job system and designing custom jobs. You also brought a lot of awesome references and nerd humor to the game with Chiaki's programing and special weapons. They were like Easter Eggs in the game.

Each of your characters had a distinct tone to them, and it was delightful to read! Among them, Chiaki's were the ones I most visualized as she had her big hope speeches and all, to the point I was starting to get antsy she'd be a sacrifice because I wouldn't know if I could take it! It was fun playing with you.

I am not sure how you do it, but you consistantly produce interesting, well-developed, and just plain awesome OCs. You also play Spark Nevada spot on, and you bring his sarcastic humor through from spoken media to written. You're a cool lady, and I'm glad you and your boys have been a part of this game.

I won't ever forget my time here. I've met so many wonderful people here. Not to mention it brought back my love for the entire Final Fantasy series.

When I first came to Melodies with my Tower survivor, never did I expect the wild ride that was the adoption process. It blew me away first that someone would actually do the thing in the first place, considering where his choices led him in his previous game. Those memories I will cherish always.

What blew me away the most, however, was how detailed and well-built Saori's world is. In my time as a moderator both here and prior, I have seen several OCs whose "canons" do not seem nearly as believable or as put together. It felt lived in, and that, I find, is one of the keys to making a successful character.

I hope to play with you once again in the future, but until then, may our hearts be our guiding key.

Ahh, what I wouldn't give to have spent more time here! And to think I was having questions about whether to come back or not, my will was weak and am I ever glad it was.

cw: pet death/ I got accepted into Melodies the same time my companion pup of almost 12 years passed on, and I think having been welcomed here and having a lot of fun made me feel a lot less alone. I was surprised how engaged I got with the plot and lore while being more or less canonblind-- the days poking around the FF wiki to make sure I was getting my terms right were good.

I'm really grateful to you guys. This is my first time reaching an endgame, although I somewhat "cheated" in that it was a return than a long run. But it's the quality of time, and not the quantity in my end.

Playing early canon Minato was a conscious decision that paid off immensely, and I'm fairly certain I won't be able to ever repeat it the same way I did here. I hope I didn't ramble too much when it came to the sacrificial introspection! Being the sappy person I am, I wanted the goodbye and good luck to extend to you guys as well-- I'm sure some of you I'll still be seeing around aha! But for others, it's a matter of wishing you the best. This is the game where I believe player involvement mattered and paid off the most in my 7 years of journal RP, I won't be forgetting it. Everyone made this happen, thank you.

Eli, while we may not have as threaded as often as we liked, your Minato interpretation was amazing, and I can't believe how much depth and introspection you put into your tags. Each of your replies was like a snippet from a longer work, and it's clear how much time and effort you put into your writing.

While you were gone for some time, Minato's character arc was unique and clear to follow, and he had plenty of funny moments as well. I'm glad you still were able to play with us!

Sorry for Ales being such a shitlord and backstabbing Mary, but she was such a great and cool assassin leader, and her presence was definitely felt in this setting. Cloud's relationship with Sephiroth was interesting, and your efforts to affect the plot and explore the world were admirable. I'm glad I got to play against your writing!

Also props to playing Gaston. What a ride.

I'm kind of at a loss for words here, but I want to thank everyone for the fantastic ride. Not only was it a blast, my time in MoL also helped me through a very rough patch IRL. I'm in a much better place than I was two and a half years ago and part of the credit goes to the friends I met here and the mods for crafting a plot that sparked my motivation again and again when nothing else did. I couldn't have asked for a better game.

I'd be happy to do more epilogue stuff and old threads with people. Beyond that, thank you all for the great memories, and I hope to see you again in other games!

You have done an incredible job with Jade, and I am still in awe of how much you've done getting involved in Melodies' plot and world-building. You were great with Jade's IC summaries. It helped new players know what was going in and also refreshed a lot of long-time players, and I think it helped a lot of people out. Thanks for helping make this game awesome!

I'm so glad I was able to be a part of this game from start to finish... Melodies seriously renewed my faith in DWRP and has been one of the best RP experiences in my many long years of being in this hobby. The players have been wonderful, the plot was out of this world, and I was able to write things I never imagined being able to with all of my characters because of you all!

I didn't really know your other characters, but Midna was just wonderful. Whether it was because she was ordering Hibiki around and teaching her how to not fail at things or it was Dylas and Midna being awkward, moody, and later in love, all of your tags were lively and easily some of the favorite parts of my inbox whenever I'd log on and see them.

I told you this once before, but I'm such a Navi stan that Midna's popularity always made me kind of >:T at her, but you managed to soothe my ass and heal me to see past my buttflusteredness and appreciate Midna as a fun and amazing character. I'm glad we met and I look forward to all the stuff we'll still do if I ever finish setting up things in my musebox.

I'm not sure what to say. Melodies of Life was the first game I modded and I was fully prepared to see it crash and burn within a few months. The Job system and the map were so-so. I had no idea how to write a compelling plot and good NPCs all while keeping the spotlight on the main characters, your characters. Is doing this going to put too much emphasis the NPCs? Is doing that going to make them so boring there might as well not be an overarching plot? I still really don't know how to do it correctly to this day.

But somehow, that worked out and that's all thanks to you. The characters and their players changed and expanded the game in ways I hadn't foreseen. I'd like to thank everyone who app'd into the game, even if you couldn't stay to the very end. It was a pleasure modding this game with you all. I wish I could have been an active player as well, but multi-tasking isn't one of my strong suits, perhaps another time!

I'd also like to thank all the other mods. Without them the game would have closed a lot earlier as my willpower tends to wane into nothingness when I'm feeling down. That and they deserve all the credit for how well the game has run. Application, helping with events, proof-reading new posts, handling boss battles, replying to player queries, suggesting more cruel ways to handle events than I had imagined, etc. They've done so much and I thank them for all they've done.

So, thank you for the memories and all the ways you contributed to the game!

I know we haven't talked much, but I really want to thank you for the excellent job you did modding. This has been, by far, the most well-modded game that I've been a part of, and your dedication was such a big part of that.

I know several players (myself included) that have said they'd join any game you were in charge of, after experiencing you as a head mod here.

Please take a well deserved rest, but also know that you did fantastic!

I know I dropped off the last few months, but I just wanted to think everyone here for the ride. When I joined MoL, I was in the middle of really bad RP burnout, and I can't think y'all enough for helping me enjoy this hobby again.

As an RPer (and a diehard FF fan) I can't think of a better game I have played in. This has been one the most well thought out, well executed RP game that I've ever been a part of, and hats off to y'all for making that possible.

Well guys, we did it! We hit all hit a few bumps in the road along the way but I've had fun here! I'm not too good with the wordy eloquent sappy stuff but I've enjoyed threading with everyone that I interacted with. It really made me think about things I'd never considered with Selphie. Thanks for all the good times and for putting up with my overenthusiastic ways over the past year. I'm glad that I came back.

K'pandolu was such a sweetheart whenever I saw her, and while I'm canonblind to FFXIV, I still enjoyed this adorable OC. She felt very grounded compared to a lot of other characters yet she wasn't boring to play off of, and that's sometime I sometimes struggle with.

It was fun seeing you around, and I hope you have fun after Melodies!
