A Christmas Reunion

When Melodies of Life ended, the Heroes of Light were given a choice. They could opt to stay behind on Crystallis, to go back to their homeworlds or to go live on one of their friends's homeworld. Regardless of what choice their made, they were separated forever, their paths never to cross again.
But for the 25th of December, the PuPu returned Crystallis and made a final gift to the Heroes of Light! For the entirety of the day, they can board their spaceships and travel to other worlds… And thus, they can visit their friends! Due to how time works across dimensions, characters can stay a maximum of seven days in another world, before the PuPu are forced to take them back to Crystallis. They can visit as many world as they want, so long as it is the world of another Hero of Light!
A downside to the Melodies of Life’s ending was that the Heroes of Light couldn’t bring to Crystallis people from their homeworld. Friends, family... But thanks to the PuPu’s spaceship, it is no longer an issue. You want to stay on Crystallis but bring with you your brother and pet hamster? Now you can do it!
It is the only occasion you’ll ever have to visit your friends. Indeed, the PuPu are stopping interdimensional travel due to the Dream Width having grown exponentially more dangerous since the disappearance of the Calamity. More and more of their kind have disappeared because of it, and none of their scientists have any clue as to what it is or why it grew more dangerous following the Calamity’s disappearance*. But they still wanted to do this favor for their friends on Crystallis.
1. Post a top comment! Mention whether your character is on their homeworld (Homeworld) or if they’re using the PuPu spaceship to visit their friends (Traveler)!
2. Reply to other comments! Characters who decided to stay on their homeworld can also board the PuPu spaceship once they’ve been visited once, so there is no excuse for you not to visit everyone!
3. Profit!

no subject
[He rarely interacts with anyone outside the town, especially since he now has two jobs.]
If'n you got a spare that ain't a dress, why not?
no subject
[she shakes herself, coming back to now, and offers him another grin, tail still curling.]
Are you sure? It could look rather nice… [or adjust, but she turns to set the packages down and start looking through her odds and ends, pulling out another tunic- looking a little old-fashioned, red with white puffs in a line down the front- with a triumphant sound.] Here!
no subject
[He looks a bit sad for a second, but returns to his relaxed state to answer her:] Wouldn't look like a dress if it weren't for that front. [He leans in and pokes at the fluffy white fabric.] What is this, a very warm bathrobe?
no subject
There is a belt, if you think that'd help. And gloves. [She hums for a moment, thinking.] It's meant to emulate the uniforms worn by Ishgardian knights of old- or one of the current designs, at any rate.
no subject
[What a loser.]
Your knights wear long coats? How can they move around in this? [It feels so inconvenient.]
no subject
Well- I think that was mainly for keeping warm. They do wear chainmail… And there's other armour. [Like subligars. Technically.] But I have thought those were like the Grand Company outfits- [she tilts her head towards one of the Twin Adders watching the Lavender Beds, wearing something like this-] and those are rather stiff.
no subject
Well...guess it wouldn't hurt. You got any changin' rooms?
no subject
Oh- hm. I think I know someone, we could probably borrow a room for a moment… [she squints up and down, before nodding.] Let's go knock.
no subject
[He nods and swiftly steps up too stay close while avoiding the crowd. Mars doesn't get so crowded, even in Town, and navigating around the shop-goers takes a lot of work.]
feat: another oc so. yes!
K'pandolu leads the way to one of the smaller cottages, knocking on the door.]
Hey, Adala! Are you in?
[There's a bit of scuffling, and then the door opens- a tall Highlander lady with blue hair staring at them.] K'pandolu? Planning to actually relax for a bell for the season?
[K'pandolu sort of. makes a face.] Not quite… I still have a couple of deliveries to make. We just need to borrow a room for a moment. [She tilts her head towards Barkeep, and Adala raises her eyebrows.]
Well, I'd say we should be introduced first. I'm Adala, as I'm sure you just heard. And you're…?
no subject
Howdy, the name's Mordecai Benmont Jiminy. Pleasure to meet you ma'am.
no subject
A pleasure for the both of us, I hope. Where did you say you came from?
[K'pandolu flicks her ears, huffing a little.] He's one of the people I met in that other world- I told you about it, I know I did.
[Adala raises her eyebrows, but she does step back enough to give them a little space.] Maybe you could tell me of your experiences, then.
no subject
[With the space, Mordecai takes the offer to step into the cottage.]
Mighty cozy place you got here, too. How must did K'pandolu tell you about Crystallis?
no subject
[it's pretty cozy! There's a few couches, one of which K'pandolu sets the parcels down next to before flopping onto it, and a table to sit at. Adala also has a stand, for a few conjurer's staves- a few of wood, one of stone with what look like wings at the top.
K'pandolu cranes her head back to look at him for a moment.]
I told everyone enough! I didn't go into all the details, though would have taken forever.
She said it drew people, and then… consumed them. In order to feed its rebirth. Which- all power has its cost, but- was that the truth of it?
no subject
[He relaxes against the chair, enjoying the warmth of the fireplace.]
K'pandolu told you right. It took souls and life force from other universes, but that didn't stop the Calamity from eatin' it over and over again. You know reincarnation? It's that sorta thing.
no subject
I'd say it's working. [K'pandolu nods firmly, curled up against one arm of the couch now.
Adala gives her an amused look, before turning back to Mordecai.] It's a good feeling, that.
[there's a moment of hesitation, before she nods.] It's not a particularly common belief, but- I've heard of it.
If it were more common, I imagine the Ossuary would do things rather differently. […wait he wouldn't know, and K'pandolu pushes herself to sit up.] The Ossuary is the temple devoted to Thal- arbiter of the afterlife- at least in Ul'dah. People go there to speak with the thaumaturges about funerary rites- and other matters, including thaumaturgy, of course.
no subject
[it works linearly. He guesses.]
Not a thing where I come from, either.
no subject
[K'pandolu makes a little sound, nodding.] I wonder if there is somewhere where reincarnation is a thing, though. It must… be strange.
no subject
[He should write a novel about that.]
