— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompt below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Jessie to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility. Or maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles.
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

[Compared to the relative luxury Saori had grown accustomed to living in Luceti, the housing provided here was something of a shock. She stared at the exterior of the tiny, somewhat ramshackle house for a long moment before shouldering her bow and stepping into the yard. She'd heard there was the possibility of a roommate, and that wouldn't be so bad but honestly she hoped she'd be living alone till she managed to adjust.
Knocking once before turning the key in the lock, Saori called into the open doorway.]
Hello? Is anyone there?
8/9:
[Out in the wilds, a lot of things became more focused for Saori. With her powers stolen away by the world in a way the last had only done rarely, she had to rely on other skills. Hunting, tracking, survival, and all those things she'd learned from her father so very, very long ago were easy things to fall back on but that didn't mean she had to like it. Being grounded, bound to the earth instead being able to take to the sky was frustrating at best. She'd vented her anger in any number of ways at first, but that'd done no good. So, instead she'd just done what she did best: set aside her problems to find distractions.
So here she is, trying to make the best of it and wandering into what appears to be an abandoned ruin. Training is key to everything, after all, and this new "Job" is no exception. And...fighting is a great distraction, as is hunting, so perhaps you'll spot her sizing up a wandering Malboro from the shadows, or maybe you come across her standing over a fallen Yeti cleaning her sword. Or maybe she's just taking a breather in the shadow of a pillar. However you'd like!]

3 prose do it
Among other things.
"You're not going to enjoy this living space, it's even worse than the last residences we had."
doing it
"It's hard to imagine a place worse than Malnosso accomodations, dearest," she replies smoothly. Slipping inside and shutting the door behind her, she peered around the dusty but serviceable accommodations, looking for her grouchy companion.
"It's good to hear your voice, though."
no subject
He even looks a little dusty too, like he'd been trying to organize their living space a little. At Capsule Corp and in Luceti, he'd kept a pretty pristine living space. Things weren't always clean because of Bulma, but even then in her older ages, she wasn't nearly as much of a slob. The cleaning bots helped though.
"Wait until you see the disaster in there. I haven't even fixed an eighth of it yet."
no subject
"No? What's in there?"
She tries to look around him, see what sort of disaster awaits that'd cover him in that much dust and sand and silt and all that stuff.
no subject
The only part he's seemed to get to is trying to fix the fridge, a wrench and some other tools sitting next to it that he'd picked up earlier that day.
"That is what's in there." There's a lot of work to be done.
no subject
"If only I could just...blow all this junk away," she groans. "This is going to take weeks to repair at best."
Hands on hips, she turns around and gives him a weak smile.
"How's the rest of the house? Better or worse?"
no subject
"Why don't you see for yourself. As you already noticed, the living room is completely in shambles. And I'm pretty sure I saw a roach earlier working on that blasted thing."
He doesn't know if he can get the fridge working either. He's got his own tech knowledge, but he's no engineer. Or repairman, really. Anything broken past the basics means they'll have to get a new one or get an icebox.
no subject
Peeking into what appears to be the bathroom, she snorts in approval.
"At least you got the bathroom clean. That's...something...at least."
no subject
"I don't have that much gil left after purchasing the new mirror. Replacing some of the plumbing to the sink. And, we still need a new shower curtain." He points to the rotting mess of a curtain he's thrown into the corner, next on his list of things to take care of.
"You can buy that." He sounds so bitter.
no subject
"I'll go get one later today. I have a bit of money, don't worry."
The next room she enters is a total wreck and she winces back a sneeze. Too much dust...
"A storeroom?"
no subject
"How should I know? I haven't gone in there yet." He peeks at it the best he can from his position. It's dark, and he can't really see.
"That might be your new bedroom for all I know." Now, he dares step forward. That just might be a bed in there. Who leaves a room like this, honestly. He opens the door a little farther, following her. A finger finds a light switch, making another explosion of dust come off of it. It's both. A storeroom and a bedroom. One wouldn't be able to tell from all the stuff stacked on top of the bed, the closet filled to the brim with things, and boxes everywhere.
no subject
"No," she replies as she pokes her head out into the alley behind the house, "I can't sleep in here. Too drafty, and all this dust. It'll take months to repair it to habitable condition. But we could rent it out when we manage that."
A practical use for the room. Scrap what they could, repair what they could, find a tenant. Of course she's willing to bet he'll have other ideas.
no subject
"Maybe if we're hurting that badly for money. If not, this is better served as a workout room."
Did you honestly think he'd want anything else, absolutely not.
no subject
"Probably. How many other rooms do we have though? The house doesn't look that big on the outside."
no subject
"Besides the kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms and living room, there's a closet. And you can't even stand inside it it's so small. I can't believe after all this hero business we're fed that this is how we have to live."
no subject
"But I can imagine that they are running out of resources. They seem to have called quite a number of us." Without asking.
no subject
"Yes, I think this will do quite nicely," he says out loud, to himself while he makes a mental map of this particular room. "This will make a perfect workout room."
no subject
"Is the other room big enough for two beds, then?"
Or are they going to share one? She doesn't have any objections at this point in their relationship, but she's honestly worried he might.
no subject
He doesn't get where she's coming from.
"I'm going to sleep in the workout room! There's plenty of room for a bed in there in addition to any necessary equipment."
Yes, he plans on sleeping in that stinky sweat-filled room in the future.
no subject
Because okay, that's just like him. She cannot contest that at all. But they don't have the equipment.
no subject
"Guess that means you get the couch."
no subject
"No, that's not going to work. It's too drafty, I'll get sick. So I guess we'll have to share, or you'll get the couch."
no subject
"I'm not sharing anything!"
no subject
"I'm...not. Not here."
