It's such a warm celebration- [He gestures around all of the decorations.] It seems to had a strange effect on everyone, even though it really does seem all for the children.

[Zelda shakes her head slowly.]

I think there is something for everyone. Aren't you having fun.

[Maybe that is why mistletoe exists? Something for adults..]

It's really quite a difference, for me. Having everyone come together and simply- well, be around each other for no other reason.

[He speaks frankly enough, somewhat getting lost in thoughts. Seems oblivious to the significance of the mistletoe- though.]

[Zleda hums softly.]

I think there is a reason.

[Her eyes glance up at the little green leaf and her smile widens.]

Would you look at that? We were caught.

[It's his turn to hum as she interrupts a rocky thought. Looking up at the odd weed of a plant one eyebrow twitches a little closer to the other.]

Caught?

[It's just another piece of decoration, Zelda.]

[Zelda laughs softly.]

That's right. Your standing under mistletoe. I was told when two people met under mistletoe they had to kiss.

[Huh?

He narrows eyes at the offending mistletoe as if someone had put it there, right then and on purpose.]

I wonder what is the point in that.

Its to spread cheer.

[She smiles again but doesn't press the issue. She isn't going to get close if he doesn't want her to but he should at least know in case others aren't so kind.]

[As ever, Zelda is everyone-else-first. It's endearing and well - just cute.

He looks down to her and catches the smile, tries to mirror it a little. All in all it's awkward though.]

Not sure I get that.

[She doesn't want to do anything without asking but maybe if she kisses him on the cheek he will understand?]

[It might just deepen his confusion; he wonders what will happen next, if they did share a kiss under that strange white-blossomed plant.

He gives her a strange look- did she really think he was that naive?]

[She places her hands on her hips and looks up with a pout.]

Oh! I'm not going to do anything strange. I was just going to give you a kiss on the cheek.

[Zelda isn't used to running into this much resistance not that it is going to stop her from trying.]

Besides maybe if you feel what it's like you might understand?

[Though she is sure that he has probably kissed someone before. Even so he is going to have to lean forward slightly because Zelda can't reach his cheek.]

[He blinks a few times at her pouting gesture and makes a concerted effort to at least chase the look from his own expression.]

Oh, well-

[Taking a breath, Sephiroth does manage to make himself relax a little before stepping a little closer to Zelda and leaning his head down so that she can kiss his cheek. He does the same thing, at the same time - only a touch before backing right the way up again.

Aside from the tingling warmth left behind, there isn't much to be said about it. Sephiroth shakes his head a little; what did he expect some magical rush or something? This is dumb.]

[She smiles after her lips graze across his cheek. It is warm and she can feel herself blushing from the experience.]

Your cheek is so warm.

[Considering how cold it is outside compared to how warm it is in here there is little wonder anyone's cheeks are warm.

If he notices the blush, he won't tell.]
