Concentrating on the battle at hand, Homura had not realized quite when she had gained an ally in battle. When a shower of lightning rained down upon the goblins following her blast of fire, however, she looked up. Her eyes narrowed a little as she took in the book and the sword before she returned her attention to the battle in time to side step a singed goblin stumbling towards her and give it one final stab with her knife. All things considered, she preferred ranged to getting quite so close to enemies, but she would do what she had to.

She looked over at the man again and nodded to him in acknowledgement before casting another fire spell, flinging it to finish off a goblin weakened by his lightning.
