— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompt below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Jessie to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility, or maybe you'd like to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles. Or how about participating in Christmas at Crystallis or fighting in a war for the warriors among you?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

Airships! Airships! This was so much cooler than flying Wyverns. Okay, maybe not that much cooler. Still, this was pretty cool. Moving to the bow of the ship, Owain braves the potential fall to climb up and find up a nice place to stand. With the wind whipping at his clothes, he poses and begins talking.
"And then, the bravest adventurers hath taken to the ruddy skies, leaving their friends and loved ones behind without the faintest hint if they'll ever see them again. The lowly crew silently stewed upon their fates as they headed towards that ominous sun set, knowing only that enemies and death awaited them at their destination."
What crew or group of adventurers he was referring to was a mystery as he's currently got not allies or friends standing around. In fact, it's hard to tell who he is even talking to.
7
"Quit your yammering! I'm trying to work!"
Nami went back to her maps glancing up at the sky at the suns position as they traveled across the clouds. This really was a different world but she was still determined to use her skill to the fullest. Her moogle fluttered around her to try and see what she was doing but the little ball of fuzzy was promptly pushed away.

"A hero's work is never done, nor will this curse placed upon me allow me a moment's breath."
With no irony, he took a deep breath and continued.
"For it is a tragic tale that leads me here and it will be a far more tragic one by the end of this ill fated journey. I am only saddened by the fact that others much share this fate with me."
Owain's hand went in front of his face as posed again, trying to look as dramatic as he sounded.
no subject
"What nonsense is that anyway?" She must be getting to used to Luffy. She just wanted to knock this kid over the head and see if that gives him some sense. "I'll fated journey? Your taking this hero thing to seriously."
Nami knew that she wasn't a hero. She would consider Luffy a hero but she knew better than to try to tell her boisterous captain such a claim.

He came down from his perch. He should really take this height a tad more seriously, but at least he's level. Now faced the nae-sayer as she put her things away, unaware she was likely to give him a beating for this.
"The plight of this land is dire and our own roles are predestined as it seems. I know only of my own cursed blood line, though I assume there is greatness and darkness in all who take up the call. For ours is a tale that will adorn the pages of history and live on long past our untimely deaths."
no subject
"Like hell I'm going to die here!" She stood up tall crossing her arms in front of her chest. "You can go and die but don't get the rest of us caught up in your mess."
Nami didn't think you had to die to complete some goal and she was quite all right without being a hero.
no subject
Owain took the hit and staggered. At least she didn't punch him while he was on a dangerous perch. He's a pretty agile guy, but he did not see that one coming. He continues to rub the side of his head, now assaulted twice for his monologues.
"I am not the master of fate, just the barer of it's curse. What will come will be beyond us all. I'm sure you'll go down heroically with many of your enemies slain at your feet."
no subject
Nami's hands moved to her hips for a moment before pointing a finger at Owain.
"No one is going to die. You can be heroic and not die. So stop saying it." She didn't want to hear someone talk so pessimistically like it was something to be happy for. She turned away glancing back over her shoulder once. "I can't die yet. I have to many things I need to do."
no subject
Okay, grim. He knew that.
"I suppose that is a bit much though. But tragic tales are always the best ones! How about a tale of dark heroes instead? We are all heroes with things in our past that weight upon us and will forever taint our actions."
no subject
She was glad that neither chopper or Luffy where here. This was just the sort of crazy nonsense the pair would get caught up in. She paused for a moment glancing at her moogle and then back at the boy. She wanted to say more but she was sure that anything she said would go in one ear and out the other.
no subject
"Yaaay. That was great now turn around and say it to the sky. Maybe put your leg up on the rail and lean forward a bit."
no subject
"And then, the bravest adventurers hath taken to the ruddy skies, leaving their friends and loved ones behind without the faintest hint if they'll ever see them again. The lowly crew silently stewed upon their fates as they headed towards that ominous sun set, knowing only that enemies and death awaited them at their destination."
no subject
"Mm hmm. Yeah. Go on."
no subject
With that, he's going to try and climb down from his awkward position. For some reason he feels uncomfortable. Like he needs an adult.
no subject
The girl looks disappointed.
"Maybe you have an untragic tale to tell? Maybe about you and your guys friends? Did you ever go to the gym?"
no subject
It didn't sound like he was talking to anyone in particular as she climbed up and stood nearby. "Adventures are more than just the grim stuff that happens along the way y'know!"
no subject
He cleared his throat, catching his slip of character and moved on. He was enjoying himself at least, even if his topics were gory and grim.
"For when the heroes all lay slain, and signs of their struggle lay around them, a true hero will rise forth. They will ride forth, upon a noble... Chocobo... and shine light upon the darkest corners of this land. They will liberate all the innocent and drive evil into a corner for which it will hide for many a year."
