Vincent smiled behind his cowl, recognizing the attempt. Low laughter actually rumbled in his throat and chest, barely audible. "I suspect men like you and I stand out no matter what we might otherwise want." Certainly he stood out more now.
There had been comfort in the anonymity of a blue uniform suit and a role that meant one asked no questions. Even if individual Turks were identifiable, they became so many faces in a crowd as a group. But now...even if Vincent were to don the uniform once more, he would still stand out likely.
"I never had reason to quarrel with you, specifically. Larger reasons made it so." Letting his crimson eyes meet green once more, hint of a smile at his mouth. "This is a different world though, and I will treat it as such."
