— Most importantly, have fun!

1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.

2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.

3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.

4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.

5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.

6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.

7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.

8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.

9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!

10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Jessie to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.

11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.

12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility, or maybe you'd like to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles. Or how about participating in Christmas at Crystallis or fighting in a war for the warriors among you?

13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

Aside from the slight shock betrayed just before Sephiroth had first looked away, in general the exchange between the two men remained a calm neutral at best, itchy suspicion at worst. Most of that was down to the fact that Sephiroth did no need yet more people from his Home World arriving with memories of acts he had yet to actually commit. It was hard enough dealing with his own churning, overactive ponderings without having his nose rubbed in it at every turn.

"I have no quarrel with you, Valentine." Out of curiosity more than anything Sephiroth followed his gaze down toward the golden gauntlet he wore but did not remain staring for very long at all. It was impolite to.

"It does seem that, no matter what time Gaian's tend to come from, there is not ever a need for an introduction at least. There should be an odd comfort in that, somewhere." He mused, mostly for his own benefit and partly in a -albeit not very successful- way to lighten the mood.

Vincent smiled behind his cowl, recognizing the attempt. Low laughter actually rumbled in his throat and chest, barely audible. "I suspect men like you and I stand out no matter what we might otherwise want." Certainly he stood out more now.

There had been comfort in the anonymity of a blue uniform suit and a role that meant one asked no questions. Even if individual Turks were identifiable, they became so many faces in a crowd as a group. But now...even if Vincent were to don the uniform once more, he would still stand out likely.

"I never had reason to quarrel with you, specifically. Larger reasons made it so." Letting his crimson eyes meet green once more, hint of a smile at his mouth. "This is a different world though, and I will treat it as such."

"Hm." Sephiroth agreed but at the same time pondered; if Shinra hadn't made of him the great War Hero, was it likely he'd have still so many people know his name by the time that to-be-believed inevitable events came around on Gaia. Silver hair and otherworldly green eyes, like his, were hardly a common trait after all.

Even if he did eventually leave Shinra chances were even as a mercenary or some other worker Sephiroth would have earned a name for himself, really, he was just that type of man by his perfectionism alone.

Sephiroth took reluctant comfort in Vincent's smile, hardly noticable on account of his cowl, and blinked as eye contact was made again - his expression softening. It was refreshing to encounter one from Gaia who would let it all just lie, as it should, in his opinion. Pity that others were not so keen to just put it to one side and get on with the issues at hand.

"Larger reasons. That's one way to put it at least." He shouldn't find it amusing, really, but considering what he had managed to learn for himself as to his own future, it was too much of a euphemism!

It was the best way to put it, as far as Vincent was concerned. Somehow he doubted the other would appreciate more detail, considering he already seemed to understand that others were wary of him. Maybe he even knew why.

But Sephiroth was not the same mad-man with delusions of godhood and destroying the planet, that Vincent had been chasing after with Avalanche. Not this one, not here, on an entirely different planet. He had not yet succumbed to whatever madness and darkness would plague him.

"How steep is the learning curve?" He finally asked, knowing if anyone would be able to tell him, it was likely Sephiroth. Relaxed still, pulling his gun from his side and examining the firearm. Serviceable enough, but not his familiar weapon.

Whatever details he did now know that he hadn't before Sephiroth seemed in perfect control and had -for all appearances- managed to box them away mentally for the time being. It was like Vincent said, this was a completely different world. There was no need to allow them to weigh him down, there was more than enough to already be worrying about.

He couldn't help but smirk wider at Vincent's question. This time when the firearm was drawn it was entirely in a different context. Sephiroth's hand swept to his side and rested against the handle of the broadsword positioned there; it had been unfamiliar to him, too even if he'd been lucky enough to have been given the initial jobs which had enabled him to keep using Masamune.

"Steep enough." He followed with a nod. "It took a while, to adjust to the lack of strength I was accustomed to."

"Wonderful." Vincent muttered dryly, tone a clear indication he felt it was anything but. "Advice?"

"Try not to go in over your head."

In other words, think for just a millisecond more before attempting a technique of which you were an expert before. The parameters were just not the same. Sephiroth remembered well how his left hand and arm had been rendered near useless on more than a handful of occasions due to the strain of the weight his weapon had put on it. It had never been an issue before in his entire life; he'd seriously worried at the time that something was more wrong with him than it was.

He also remembered that brief time where he had been mako-infused again, and how Angeal had broken a table completely by accident.

"Yet, don't think that this place won't turn that all around on you again - just when you think you've got it all worked out."

Vincent was amused by the advice, and would remember it. "You make it sound simple." Clear to hear his amusement in his voice. Glancing over, watching the other, but more companionably than before.

The conversation wasn't so much a mine-field, now.

"Did you have any questions, for me?" Not that it couldn't become a minefield again... But this was more borne of practicality. Vincent would treat this as another world, a different perspective and different Sephiroth--until and unless the other showed signs of being the mass murdering delusional-wannabe-godling. So if he had questions, Vincent would consider answering them.
