— Reply with a character you wish to test in the game's setting.
— Feel free to use one of the prompt below or make one of your own!
— Tag around! This is a panfandom RP, so don't hesitate to tag both castmates and non-castmates.
— Most importantly, have fun!
1/ Welcome to the world of Crystallis!
You have seen reality shatter and collapse around you, in the depths of the void you found a Crystal and now you are in the city of Aqures Ixen, surrounded by Moogles and people as lost and confused as you are. On the bright side, everyone thinks you're a hero! On the downside, they expect you to save the world. Maybe their expectations are a bit too much. Thankfully, you're not abandoned to your fate as a Moogle explains to you everything you need to know. Maybe it's time to get to know your companions in misfortune. Besides, it seems this has occurred past month already-- Maybe some people who have been here for longer than you may help.
2/ Do you like your new life?
No? Well, either way, you better get used to it, to your new powers, to your new house, to the ball of fur that follows your every steps—Who knows, maybe you'll even make some friends here. Besides, even if everyone expects you to save the world, fighting isn't the only way to do so. Maybe you could open a shop to help and properly equip your friends who are actually eager to fight. Maybe you could try and gather people who think diplomacy can stop war, you could even start your own researches on the Crystals— Or you could make sure your house is the prettiest in all of Aqures Ixen. Anything is possible.
3/ Neighborhood woes
The government of Aqures Ixen is very sorry, but it seems there are too many of you Heroes of Light. Hence why there is no free houses left in district dedicated to housing you. This may also be why you're not alone in the house that was given to you. Hopefully you're not living with a mad villain plotting to take over the world late at night, and hopefully your neighbor isn't a singer who doesn't know how to sing. On the bright side, you may have someone very cool living with you and an artist next door! It's just not likely.
4/ Crystallis de Chocobo
Upon arrival, your Moogle gave you a map of Crystallis. This world may be a bit big for you to explore, so why not go to the Chocobo Farm and ask for a Chocobo? These big birds can't fly, but they're much more efficient than horses when it comes to travelling. Maybe it's your first time riding a Chocobo; it might be a good idea to have someone with you in case something goes wrong. Or maybe the old man at the farm didn't have any Chocobos left and gave you some Chocobo Lure© so you can go and capture your own. You can find details on Chocobo Capture here.
5/ A thing called Mognet
Hopefully you weren't used to Internet and cellphones back home. Otherwise, you might be a tiny bit confused when your Moogle returns to you with a stack of letters. Or maybe someone else's Moogle is coming to you with a voice message it learnt by heart and is now going to recite to you with a lot of Kupo. That's how the "network" works here.
6/ A thing called Strike
In spite of how old-fashioned it is, Mognet is very useful and odds are that you may have become dependent on it. Hopefully not, because one local tradition seems to be Mognet Strikes. Nobody knows any more whether the Moogles have legitimate reasons to go on strike or if they are just lazy. But today, Mognet is down, and to get information you have no choice but going to the public board in the third district or in taverns.
7/ I believe I can fly~
You are on an Airship! Airships regularly depart from Aqures Ixen and stop by most major cities in the world, so they're the perfect means of transportation for you to go and explore this world. You can go anywhere in a matter of hours — One can only hope you don’t have motion sickness.
8/ Exploration
Enough expository banter. Now is the time to explore. Maybe rather than spending most of your time in Aqures Ixen, you'd rather spend it living in Balicea, or betting on Chocobo Races in Trano Golsaucia. Or maybe you'd rather go and explore some ancient ruins that may hold some precious information. With Airships and Chocobos at your disposal, you can go nearly anywhere that isn't under imperial control; unless you have a death wish of course.
9/ Random Encounter
You were minding your own business walking around, and suddenly monsters attacked you! Time to put to use the skills you've learned with your Jobs! Alternatively, maybe this encounter isn't random at all, and you have been sent on a mission to kick some imperial asses in the war confronting the Heran Empire and the Republic of Esdham. Good luck!
10/ Getting Jobs is hard
It all started when you asked Jessie to give you a new Job. What could and should have been a formality, quickly turned into a trial. All you wanted was a Job, and here you are in the wild, hunting for a Malboro Vine. Or maybe you are in some ancient and decrepit ruins looking for an artifact. Or yet again, maybe she simply asked you to assist her in her researches on the Crystals. Getting new Jobs is not easy. Consider yourself happy though, at least you don't have to do that alone.
11/ The world is subject to unrelenting pain and suffering…
This is why you should play a game. After all, there are things a lot more important than saving the world: Blitzball is one of them. Triple Triad is another. Why don't you take a break and do something different for once; anyone wanting to play Blitzball is given a special potion allowing them to breath underwater, whereas someone who wants to play Triple Triad should have no difficulties finding veterans more than happy to get rid of their low level cards.
12/ Events of the Past
Missed an event you would have liked to participate in? The Test Drive Meme is the perfect place to play this event without being restricted by the game's chronology! Maybe you would have liked to capture a Chocobo during Crystalis de Chocobo, maybe you would have liked to be lost and attacked from all sides in the creepy Magitek Research Facility, or maybe you'd like to celebrate the Christmas of Crystallis. Yet again, maybe you would have liked to regain your true power and subsequently be on your path to death, as in The Night of the Thirteen Moogles. Or how about participating in Christmas at Crystallis or fighting in a war for the warriors among you?
13/ Wild Card
Don't like the options offered here? Go crazy and choose what you want to do in this world!

Re: Chocobo
"Who's Genesis, and why would I know him? Baby-cloud? Sephiroth is here?" A beat. "What about Hojo?" The voice is deliberately toneless as Vincent kept his emotions in check for now. What did all this mean? Last he'd checked, they'd all been staying at the Icicle Inn.
Re: Chocobo
"If you don't know Gen it doesn't matter. He's just Sephiroth's cute playboy not friend. As for Baby-Cloud. You'll see. I think he's younger than I am and I'm 17 thank you very much!" Only because that had come up with others in conversation earlier.
"As for Sephiroth, yes, he has weird showering habits but he's not crazy. Yet. Hojo is not here. Though that name sounds familiar." Maybe it was something when searching Sephiroth's room, either way, it didn't concern her.
"But yeah. A bunch of us are here! When you from anyway?"
Re: Chocobo
The one point that did, oddly, really trouble him was no sign of Hojo. That either meant he really wasn't around, or he was causing trouble behind the scenes if he was here. How did Yuffie not remember who Professor Hojo was either?
"That's a curious question." He responded, head tilting as he looked at Yuffie, crimson eyes studying her. She did look older, slightly different, than the boisterous ninja-girl he'd last seen. "Icicle Inn." Was the short reply to her question.
Re: Chocobo
She wiggled her fingers in the air as if that explains it.
While Yuffie does remember Hojo, he wasn't here and so she didn't really care. Same with a few others she hadn't the mind to mention. Some because she was sure they would never show up here. Others because they have.
"So what you wanna know? I can tell your brooding about something." Mostly because he always was.
Re: Chocobo
Ophelia still clutched his cloak, but looked between him and the other pair now that things were calmer. Raising a paw, and waving to her fellow moogle. "Is...she always like this, kupo?"
Chocobo
He sounded like a grandfather talking about his granddaughter when he spoke about Yuffie. "She's energetic but she means well Kupo. If she ever were to change you'd miss it." He smiled then fluttering over to sit on Yuffie's lap. It calmed her down and made her sit still. Though it didn't stop her from giving the little moogle and knock on the head.
"Awww, does that mean you missed me?"
Re: Chocobo
It was clear the younger moogle was still trying to make up her mind.
Chocobo
"OH! We should go do something to celebrate!"
Re: Chocobo
"I was attempting to lure and catch a Chocobo." Vincent responded to Yuffie's comments. Not so subtle hint that he might be inclined to get back to that, as she'd interrupted. A welcome interruption, it turned out.
Moving to get to his feet, dusting himself off, before holding out a gloved hand in her direction.
Chocobo
"I have a chocobo! I named her Gallivant." Mostly because she couldn't think of another name that sounded awesome. She brought her fingers to her lips and blew. A sharp whistle echoes trough the ranch as the yellow bird comes over.
"See! If you do it right they just come to you." Yuffie's had starting eating her lunch when she went to catch it.
Re: Chocobo
It could wait though, as he nodded to Ophelia who fluttered up to his side. "We'll try again another day." Smiling, the moogle put the lure in her pack. "I'll read up on what we can do kupo. I still think you'd look dashing on a white or red one."
Chocobo
"Can you find one? I know some person with a red one... or I think they do." It was hard for her to remember things she found no interest in.
Re: Chocobo
Chocobo
"Huh? I guess red would be best but if he's wearing a red cloak how would you know where the chocobo starts and where Vincent begins?"
She smiled as if that answer made perfect sense.
Re: Chocobo
Vincent paid no attention, and turned as if to start walking back to town. Pausing after a step or two, his head turned to watch Yuffie and the chocobo. Silent invitation, as he'd wait and walk with her.
Re: Chocobo
Yuffie finally waved him away now hoping that the chocobo would head back to the farm without her having to lead him. Mooshoo fluttered behind his gaze curiously on Ophelia and this new hero. He was of course, worried about Yuffie.
"YEAH! So how you liking this place? I think it's okay."
Re: Chocobo
"Familiar, but not." Came Vincent's answer, tone thoughtful as he'd taken a while to reply. Pondering just how he did feel about this new place he'd found himself.
Chocobo
"A lot of WEIRD stuff has happened." She flailed her arms then. "At one point in october.. I think. There was a black crystal that made people die and then go crazy but everyone's fine now."
Re: Chocobo
Even if he wasn't as outgoing or outwardly expressive as others, it didn't mean Vincent didn't care.
Re: Chocobo
How long had she been in this world? She hadn't even realized it but it's been over six months now.
Re: Chocobo
Either way, it was his way of offering that he'd listen. In this new world that was familiar and not, he'd take the familiarity of Yuffie's presence and company. For now.
Re: Chocobo
Yuffie giggled feeling exasperated. "You know, I have no idea where to start." She looked at him then and it was obvious that something was bothering her. It was a subtle glint to her stare and a nervous tension. She glanced back at the two moogles.
"mmmm, maybe when it's just us." She hadn't told Mooshoo everything just yet and she didn't want him to worry. She wanted everyone to be happy and knowing what happened wasn't going to help that.
Re: Chocobo
Comfortable silence for a bit, but given what she'd implied, Vincent didn't think it would stay that way, nor did he want Yuffie to brood. Did she brood? He honestly wasn't sure, but it wouldn't be good if she decided to start now.
"How good are the weapons shops here? Gun shops?" An easy topic switch, and taking an active role in the conversation. He was curious too, as he already missed his usual gear and equipment.
Re: Chocobo
Yuffie spoke with her hands as she spoke happy for the change in subject. She was used to silence but she didn't always care for it.
Re: Chocobo
Careful, examining it as he stopped. Eyeing it as the marksman he was. After unloading it, he examined some more, then reloaded and re-holstered the weapon. It was basic, but it would do for now.
"No materia?" Confirming, and asking for more information in one. If anyone would know, it would be her.
