Canon: Tales of Fabulous Flowers and Friendship -- I mean Tales of Graces f.
Info: 19-year-old knight school dropout turned feudal lord. Subscribes to the magic of friendship as well as the power to protect. All-around nice guy who will probably forgive you no matter what cruddy things you've done. Extremely stubborn when push comes to shove. Likes his curry mild. Also plays guardian to an amnesiac flower child (Sophie).
Job(s): Warrior, Dragoon, and currently questing for Paladin (reserve)
Housing: B-08
Moogle: Tern, male. A very shy and nervous creature who otherwise tries his best.
Status: Asbel is kind of okay and kind of not after having been dragged along on the trauma train for a couple of stops, meeting a doppelganger, and then having his two closest friends show up (just like in that weird and super unsettling dream), so he's stable but also a bundle of nerves, too.
Employment: Still need to figure this out, but he is part of the Heroes Guild.
Plans: I'd definitely be interested in things with the upcoming memories event! He'll also be attending informational meetings and taking care of his newcomer friends. Otherwise, I'm pretty much open to whatever!
Desired CR: Let's make a friendship pact.
Undesired Things: Don't put weird things in his curry.
Shipping: I'm willing to discuss shipping possibilities but he's romantically dense, so it'd need a ton of build-up. Also he comes with a kid, just saying.
Additional Comment: Tagging might be slower than usual the last two weeks of May and the first week of June as me and my co-workers are taking vacations all in a row. The first week of June is when I'll be on mine, and I'm not sure what the internet situation will be May 31 - June 4.

RL tends to eat us all, so it's ok. She has an open post up, and she'll probably be at the meeting. I'm going to have to be careful as this weekend I'm incredibly busy, and we're heading into a busier time of year for me. I try to be approachable though, so don't be afraid to poke me and say hi.

I totally understand how that can get. (My work gets busy around holidays, every so many weeks when we have a section (newspaper booklet) to do, etc.) If it's any help, I'm a very relaxed tagger, so if you get super busy and ever want to come back to something later, that's okay with me. I'll take a look at the post once I catch up with my other tags, and I'll either tag that or the meeting. Asbel will definitely be at the meeting either way. /o

Important curry answer: Curry should consist of meat, potatoes, carrots, onions. Served over rice. Anything else is weird! >:( (fyi if he tried it, he would probably like it with sansai veggies, but he is a curry purist and a closed-minded boychild when it comes to his first love curry so you'd have to force it on him the first time.)

Yes and yes! Come at me bro. (Do we even know which two people are sharing a room in B-08? I've been curious but never stopped to ask. Asbel wouldn't mind sharing if the others wanted their own rooms.) Birthdays are great, and also he is "cooking" dinner next door for his not!daughter and B-08 is invited if you'd be interested in that as well? Maybe we could do a group shenanigan log.

lol, honestly I completely forgot about everything rooming by the time this kid got to Aqures Ixen ^.^o
But looking at our occupants, I think our two are definitely the most likely to room together in the twin room. (The others being a girl and a slightly-scary adult.) ^.^

I'd be happy to do some chatting with you to be able to hand-wave some of those roommate-ish things that would certainly have come up... (do they both sleep on the twin bed somehow or does one take the floor? What are their habits like... etc etc)

And that's definitely fine by me. Trying to hash out a few details on plurk, but I have no problem with this (and neither would he since he used to share a room with his kid brother and since then he's dealt with cramped dorm rooms and questionably comfortable hotels while traveling so he can adapt).

I don't know how he'd feel about sharing a bed (that's just a little weird but he wouldn't think it was awful or anything); sharing a room is A-Okay and maybe even preferred. He'll grab a couch if he has to. He goes to sleep sort of early and he doesn't like to wake up in the mornings. He might snore, but he doesn't kick or sleepwalk or any of that (I think). Bad dreams are maybe/sometimes and the only one of note is the last event.

You also mentioned something about listening to the wind on your own post? That sounded pretty cool. His country (WINDOR) is actually very wind-based, so there is that.

And no problems there! Asbel will take the initiative and invite him so Manami won't have to take initiative. So if you ever wanna do housemate-bro things and think Manami wouldn't suggest them, they might be something Asbel could offer.

I am enjoying Terra and Asbel's thread and I'm sorry if it's awkward but Terra doesn't really know any better. She isn't completely aware of certain social things and she is still figuring out this friendship thing. Though she means well.

I also Enjoyed Asbel's letters to Greg. I hope you enjoyed his drawing. :p

PS: If you give Sophie food poisoning Zelda is forcing you to learn to cook properly!

It's totally fine. |D;; Sophie doesn't know "certain social things" either, so he's already lived through a few awkward situations involving such things as peaches, sexy cats, and ruined (already poorly timed) flirting attempts. Asbel will try to teach her that friendship thing, though, since he's pretty good at it.

Oh man, Greg's letter was a trip. XD A+ to you.

P.S. He'd never live with himself if he made Sophie sick. Fortunately he should be getting some help in the kitchen, but if Sophie offers Zelda some of his cooking in particular, well, she'll be able to tell right away the guy who made it isn't a cook.

Lol, Sounds good. But Yes Terra is wonderfully awkward. I'm just waiting for that moment when she asks someone why a boy and girl are standing close together and alone in a room... cuz yeah she walked in on that. Also .... sexy cats?

I'm hoping to do Greg justice because he's such a derp. He knows things, he just chooses to follow his imagination.
