Adachi paused a moment, considering how to answer. New world, new people... probably a bad idea to announce to everyone that he was a suspect awaiting trial in a serial murder case and would have rather been back in his cell. Not that he wanted to anyway, but he wasn't going to be making friends with that kind of baggage.

"Oh, you know..." he began. "Just quietly sitting at home, taking a nap, then all of a sudden here I am in some weird clothes with a flying rat telling me I'm a hero."

Said "flying rat" puffed his cheek out, flailing his little arms.

"Kupo! You don't have to be sho mean!"

Adachi stopped dead at that, looking like he was just a blood clot away from having a stroke. He did not just hear that. Not that, not the god awful puns... he thought he escaped those! Slowly, he turned toward his moogle, the look on his face gravely serious.

"Never. Do that. Again."
